Seven Samurai 20XX is the upcoming third-person action game inspired by the classic Akira Kurosawa film. The PlayStation 2 game will feature characters that mirror the film's cast, though the game will have a futuristic setting. Although the game was released in Japan earlier this month, the US version isn't due until March. Today we'll take a look at some of the bosses in the game and will offer some details on their backgrounds.

W
W

W
An agent of the city, W is the leader of a highly advanced group of law-abiding individuals known simply as the "Agents." In search of the sacred treasure that went missing along with the city's holy child, W joins forces with Ein to do away with Natoe and make certain that the treasure and holy child are returned to the city. W also knows a secret about one of the members in Natoe's group. Natoe will discover this secret and understand its relevance to the Seven Samurai mission only after his showdown with W.

Gigantes
Gigantes

Gigantes
One of Drei's most trusted humanoid robots, Gigantes is sent into villages and outlying towns as a destructive machine to attempt to destroy anything and everything in sight. His mission is to seek out those who protect the holy child and put a stop to them. Rarely does he travel alone, and should you cross his path, be aware that some of his minions are usually trailing closely behind. Gigantes is considered to be among the elite of the humanoid robots, and his most devastating attacks are a result of his brute strength. It takes merely a few of his mighty blows to crush an entire opposing force.

Zex
Zex

Zex
A creation of the scientist Drei, Zex is a humanoid with an endless desire to kill humans and eat their flesh. Each time he is defeated, he returns as a stronger and more powerful humanoid. In his search to reach the ultimate form, Zex will stop at nothing to kill Natoe and his followers. Drei has equipped Zex with many weapons to choose from, but Zex is such a powerful being that he prefers to attack with primitive brute force. Zex also shows no gratitude toward Drei for all the various upgrades he has performed. In fact, he despises Drei and faults him for all his previous defeats at the hands of Natoe. With such hatred for his maker, a final confrontation between them is inevitable.

Zwei
Zwei

Zwei
She is one of Ein's commanders in his quest for the sacred treasure. However, she secretly wants to rule over all humanoids and, ultimately, all life-forms. Zwei is rather sadistic, often trying to recruit Natoe to be her human "pet." She is usually seen being escorted by her three loyal minions: Klein, Lange, and Weite. Though Zwei is known to many as the "Empress of Darkness," Tatsuma strangely discovers that he is quite fond of her. In fact, Tatsuma even considers the possibility of making Zwei his pet. Zwei does not approve of this and thinks of Tatsuma as scrawny and insolent. She will ultimately continue her quest to rule over all, even if it means crushing Natoe and his gang.
