WDL PS2 Gets a Ship Date

The 3DO Company's World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks will ship soon for the PlayStation 2.

The 3DO Company has announced that World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks for the PlayStation 2 has received manufacturing approval and will ship on December 19. WDL's PS2 release will be followed by AquaAqua, which has been completed and submitted to SCEA for approval.

"With the release of World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks and AquaAqua, we will reach our goal of shipping our first two PlayStation 2 games this quarter," said Trip Hawkins, chairman and CEO of The 3DO Company. "We currently have an additional eight PlayStation 2 titles under development."

The company's upcoming PlayStation 2 lineup includes the aforementioned World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks and AquaAqua, along with Warriors of Might and Magic, Army Men: Air Attack 2, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, High Heat Baseball, Army Men Green Rogue, Portal Runner, Heroes of Might and Magic, and World Destruction League: War Jetz.
