-Extra is the mode that allows you to charge up the bar to stock up 1 power bar and each time you lose a character the time to charge up for that stock takes less and less time.
You can use that stock to to blowback attacks, emergency rolls, DMs, and putting yourself into max mode.
When your life is flashing red and yellow and you use a DM it becomes an SDM. Another cool feature is that when your life is flashing, you can perform as many DMs as you like without having to charge your bar.
Another feature only available for Extra is the ability to sidestep, it can be used to avoid attacks but only when you're stationary
-Advanced is the mode that charges up as you take damage, deal damage, and block attacks, You can stock up to five power stocks.
As said for extra you can use these stocks to do blowback attacks, emergency rolls, and DMs.
You can use a power stock to put yourself into Max Mode, while in max mode your attacks become a little more powerful. While in Max Mode, if you perform a DM it becomes an SDM
The unique feature for Advance is that you can dodge roll forward and back.
