Shifters on shelves

3DO ships its shape-shifting adventure game.

3DO announced this morning that it has shipped Shifters to stores. The game allows the player to change into 24 different creatures, each of which has unique abilities. These abilities will allow the player to sidestep traps, deal with monsters, and solve puzzles. 3DO describes the game as being combat-oriented.

The game's lead character is named Alleron, and he is given the task of keeping King Abelard and the kingdom of Bylandria safe from the Grand Inquisitor Zash Mythra, who is attacking the kingdom in order to get a hold of a powerful artifact of chaos.
