The 3DO Company has released new screenshots from its upcoming PlayStation 2 game Shifters. As the game's title suggests, the main protagonist in the game is able to shape-shift depending on the in-game situation. Players can transform into more than 24 different characters--each with various strengths and weaknesses--depending on the path they choose through the game's diverse levels. In total, there are 30 levels in the game, based in three different worlds.

Shifters is currently set for a Q1 2002 release in North America. GameSpot will have more on the game as its release nears.
