Both our characters find themselves involved in a great conspirancy and mistery about the true murderer of Cesar, since Agrippa's father gets accused unfairly of that terrible crime.
The story of the game isn't the only amazing aspect of this game. The gameplay is also very good, especially the Arena fights where Agrippa needs to kill his opponents in front of thousands of blood-thirsty spectators.
The gladitorial fights have a great variety, from having to battle dozens of gladiators, to having to fight tigers and elephants and even race against other gladiators in chariot races.
There are lots of different weapons (maces, swords, bows, even your opponents arms and heads can be used) you can use to kill other gladiators.
When fighting in front of crowds, your main focus is not only to stay alive, killing your opponents, but also make the crowd go wild with your violent executions and movements on the arena. Slicing and dismembering your opponents will get you lots of Salvo points and the audience support (The more varied the executions, the more points you get and you receive better weapons from the crowd).
Blood, violence, gore and limbs are keywords in these battles. There are no limits inside the arena and the easy controls and cool executions are one of the most addictive aspects about this game.
Parallel to Agrippa's journey through different arenas to find out the true about the whole conspiracy, you also play as Octavianus, who does the same, but in a different way. Octavianus isn't strong as Agrippa, so with him you will have to do stealth missions inside the Senate House and disguise as senator or guard.
This is the only aspect of the game that I didn't like as much as the others. Some of the missions are boring and repetitive, because you can't fight your enemys and defend your self in case of being spotted. This part of the game was the reason I didn't gave it a 10/10.
The graphics are good, with detailed scenarios and characters. The executions are beautiful to see, when you chop a head off or cut your enemy in two, with tons of blood spilled and body parts flying.
This game is defenetly a must-have for just about anyone who enjoys a game with a trully amazing story, lots of action, addictive gameplay and a twisted taste for pure gore. If you have the opportunity, GET IT!
