First look: Ninja Assault

Namco announces a US release for its ninja-themed gun game.

Namco has announced that its ninja-themed shooting game Ninja Assault will be released in the US for the PlayStation 2. The game puts the player in the role of a gun-toting ninja who must shoot his way through tons of different enemies in hopes of saving the soon-to-be-sacrificed Princess Koto. The game was originally released in arcades to little fanfare in 2000. Other than Guncon 2 support, the PS2 version will also sport better graphics, new levels and modes, and rendered cutscenes.

Ninja Assault is scheduled to hit North American stores this September.
