    Let me ask this.. and I hope some people agree... Why am I paying for a Gamespot Gold subscription when simple things like GAME REVIEWS are days late? EVERYONE other than Gamespot, has a solid review out there. What am I paying for?!?

    I hope this game lives up to my expectations. Worried now with all the negative comments but if its at least as good as the last game I'll get it anyway. The first game was way fun. The thing is I live in England so instead of $63 its gonna be £40 which is the equivalent to $80, sucks to be us huh?

    "Jarek", you missed the point. I never said the game wasn't "fun", nor am I "looking for flaws"; the flaws are glaring in your face issues that the average gamer will easily notice. One does not need a fine-toothed comb to see that this title needs a wee bit more polish and frankly at $63 (with tax) I expect more. Don't you?

    I love how people like mrtweed2 will play the game solely to look for all the flaws in it instead of how much "fun" it is to play.

    Polished it may not be, and that's one of the reasons I reviewed it as an 8 instead of anything higher, but that does not stop the game from being fun. Perfectionists will never be happy, but it's one of my favorite next-gen games at the moment, on the level of sheer "fun" alone.

    Damn if only.... It used Unreal Engine 3 Tecnologie or some sort of nice next gen engine this would of been king of the hill o.. sorry king of the boom. lol

    there is no offline co-op, and very glitchy: characters holding pistols as if they are shotguns, boulders that fly about with the slightest touch, etc. How long have the developers been working on this one? Not very polished, not very polished at all.

    M2:WiF has all the polish of "Earth Defense Force". I am playing as I write this and I must say,it's a bit of a let down. Yeah! You can blow crap up and all that, but it comes off a bit "last-gen" in the area of graphics quality and game-play. I know you may be reading this and thinking I "must be crazy", but compare to other "blow-em up" titles and you'll see what I mean. "Quake Wars:Enemy Territories" has more polish! How is it that the characters can bump into a destroyed section of building and it flips into the air? Then again, at the end of the day it seems to quench my need to blow stuff up, and that's all that matters...to some degree.

    just read a review from a dude who has just brought the game and ime afraid its not looking good.its out on the ps2 as well as ps3 and 360. apparently the next gen editions are a straight port of the ps2 edition or vice versa but theres lots of screen tear even in the terrible looking cut sceanes. shot pedestrians they die fall to the floor and then jump back up and run of .what the hell..anyway to cut along story short hes warning people to save there money but hey i might just regret it and wished i had taken notice of what this dude had to say but ime a shallow scorewhore and will buy it for the coop and achievments but be warned if you like your games to look nice and polished with real kick arse graphics to boot you best look else where.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

    Nezmac, the release date on a game does not reflect the ship date. August 31st is Mercenaries 2's "Street Date," upon which day it is released to the public. Most retailers, like Gamestop, have probably had the game since as early as Monday or as late as Friday night.

    y512516, if you're just basing your opinions as to the graphical quality of this game solely on this video then you sir, should just go straight to the dump, toss your Pc in a compactor and buy an Xbox or PS3 along with all the other non-believers. They DID put a LOT of time into the textures, if you actually looked at some hi-rez screens then you'd see this.

    That final nuke just made me laugh. Perfectly round cylinder of fire into the sky...not quite the 'epic' graphic I was expecting. Hope it's as good as the first.
