UK Game Charts: April 16-22

Tomb Raider: Legend claims the top spot for the third week in a row, with Ice Age 2: The Meltdown another non-mover in second place.

Can anything knock the mighty Tomb Raider: Legend off the top of the charts? Lara maintained her position for the third week in a row this week, with absolutely no new entries in ELSPA's Chart-Track best-seller list.

The second-place game was another non-mover, with Ice Age 2: The Meltdown enjoying a similar success to the film at the box office. Animal Crossing, meanwhile, managed to clamber up the charts three places to move up from the number-six position and into third-place.

After slipping out of the top 10 for the first time last week, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion managed to creep back in to take the number-10 slot. The other Xbox 360 title to maintain a grip on the chart is Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, which has been a permanent fixture since its release on March 10. This week, it moved up from number nine to number eight.

EA's The Godfather continues its slow decline down the charts, falling from number four to number five. At least the company has FIFA Street 2 still riding high at number four after a seven-week run in the Top 10. The company also managed to get The Sims 2: Family Fun Stuff up from its debut at number 13 up to a more respectable number six.

Elsewhere, both Football Manager 2006 (listed here as Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006) and Buzz!: The BIG Quiz both enjoyed rises this week, occupying number-seven and number-nine positions respectively.

Nice to see Tomb Raider up there, and Godfather still hanging in.

I loved Tomb Raider Legend, lets hope it stays #1 for another 3 weeks.
Ice Age 2 is pretty good too, deserves to be high in the charts.

Chrisdojo, you're wrong. We've wasted our pounds on a horrible game.

Nah, I'm only kidding. Legend is not bad but it's incredibly short, linear and easy. Unfortunately it's not got much in common with the classic PS1 games - apart from Miss Croft and a couple of tomby levels. It’s like a dumbed-down TR game with no keys, switches, complex puzzles or epic rooms.

Nice to see Eidos getting a bit back in the game. But a few too many EA games in that chart. There are too many sheep.

Well as a Ds fan, I'm happy to see Animal Crossing doing well.

I'm sorta ashamed to live in a country where Fifa Street 2 does so well...

And once again the ignorant masses opt for FIFA instead of Pro Evolution Soccer, when will they learn? And of all the FIFA games FIFA Street 2?!?!

I remember when they would even release Gamecube Animal Crossing in England because they thought we wouldn't like it. I never expected a handheld version to be so high up in the UK chart,

360 seems to be doing well in the UK. I like to see Oblivion in the top ten. It means more support in the form of expansion packs for us in the future.

    Now announce one at E3.
