Ubisoft sets date for Far Cry Instincts

Console version of the PC shooter will be available in Q1 2005.

Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry Instincts will see its Xbox and PlayStation 2 release in Q1 2005. According to previous announcements, the console versions of the PC shooter will be a completely new game built from the ground up. Ubisoft said that the release date ensures that the graphics and gameplay are comparable to the PC version. The original Far Cry followed charter boat captain Jack Carver as he is stranded on a tropical island that is swarming with mercenaries and secret labs. Ubisoft Montreal, developer of Pandora Tomorrow and the upcoming sequel to Prince of Persia, is working on the game.
