Devil May Cry to hit big screen

A film based on Capcom's stylish hard-action game is in the works.

Capcom and Japanese movie production company Gaga Communications have announced that they are planning to make the popular PlayStation 2 action game Devil May Cry into a Hollywood movie. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in 2005 with a budget of $40 million. The companies are still deciding on the director, cast, and actors for the film. Gaga and Capcom hope to make the film reflect the original game, showing off the stylish Dante and Trish in action.

Gaga Communications has also acquired the movie licenses for Capcom's samurai action game Onimusha and Namco's 3D fighting game Tekken.

    of course its not going to be made....its 2007 right now...they're just going to **** it up!! just like Doom, Resident Evil, BloodRayne, Super Marios Bros, Hitman, and so forth!!!.......instead of real characters....they should just do CGI like Square Enix......I like DANTE BEST if he is COMPUTER GENERATED....rather than being played by an actual actor.

    they shouldn't do it after what they did with resident evil and does anybdoy remember that atrocious thing called street fighter

    I think Devil May Cry movie will be very great. I hope that it will be ready to the big screen at 2006, but with a very good ideas.

    I think that Brett Scallions, ex-vocalist of fuel will be the best option as Dante in the movie, he's very cool and rocks great. And of course he looks like Dante.
