Fallout 3's journey into the Australian game market hasn't been without controversy, but after a rocky ride, we're on the eve of its release. Playing in the year 2277, you're a survivor of a nuclear apocalypse and have spent all your life living inside a Vault 101, a fallout shelter in Washington, DC. When your father leaves the safety of the vault to venture into the wasteland, you decide to go after him to find out why he left and, along the way, discover what life outside the vault is like. Like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3 can be played in both first and third person, and it features a combat system called Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, not dissimilar to the combat mechanic found in Red Dead Revolver. Expect to see Fallout 3 in stores around Australia on Friday.

Almost a month after FIFA Soccer 09 came out, Konami is bringing their popular football game to the table with Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. Amongst the updated graphics and new animations, PES now includes licensed teams from the UEFA Champions League, as well as a new mode called Become a Legend, whereby you pick a player and stick with him for the entire season. Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 comes out on the 30th.
