The Internet's beloved little yellow alien with three teeth will be making his way to the PlayStation 2 and GameCube, O3 Entertainment announced today. Alien Hominid is an update to the popular Flash game released in 2002, and it is scheduled for release in October.

The side-scrolling action game sees Alien Hominid, a diminutive goldenrod extraterrestrial, crash his spaceship on planet Earth. Unfortunately for him, Hominid lands right in front of FBI headquarters, and the agency wants to cart his ship off to Area 51 while probing the game's antihero for secrets. In the game, players take control of Hominid and his small-but-powerful green gun as they blast their way across a number of levels and minigames. Up to three other players can hook up as well in a co-op mode, creating a veritable army of black-eyed aliens.

Alien Hominid's unique look was designed by artist Dan Paladin, one of the founders of the new development studio The Behemoth, and it features hand-drawn 2D graphics, characterized by bold colors and simple lines. The game's release will not only be a console debut for Alien Hominid, but is also the first console game from publisher O3.
