MLB 2005 steps up to the plate
989 Studios unveils its latest baseball title for the PlayStation and PlayStation 2. First screens inside.
Today, 989 Studios unveiled MLB 2005, the latest installment in their long-running baseball franchise. The game will take the field on PlayStations and PlayStation 2s next March, and will sport a variety of features, including:
- zone-control batting
- pressure-sensitive pitching
- hot/cold streaks
- mound visits
- true-trajectory ball physics
- improved AI
- reworked character models
- new camera angles
- cut offs and run-downs
- franchise mode
- career mode
- player creation
- game-simulation bode
- online play via 989SportsOnline
- new three-man commentary from ESPN's Dave Campbell, the San Diego Padres' Matt Vasgersian, and Hall of Famer Vin Scully.
