Dragon Quest VII Storms Japan

Dragon Quest VII for the PS has sold phenomenally in Japan since its release on August 26.

Enix of Japan has announced that it has sold over 2 million copies of Dragons Quest VII for the Sony PlayStation since the game's release in Japan on August 26. The company plans to ship an additional 1.2 million units by September 2 for a total of 3.2 million units shipped in its first week of release. To put those numbers in perspective, the wildly anticipated and popular Final Fantasy IX has shipped 2.8 million units to date, and Square expects to have 3 million copies on the market by the end of 2000.
