Treasure Planet ships
Three separate games based on Disney's upcoming film Treasure Planet are now available.
Disney has announced that Treasure Planet games for the PC, the PlayStation 2, and the PlayStation are now shipping to retail stores. Opening in theaters later this month, Treasure Planet is an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's book Treasure Island that moves the setting to a sci-fi universe, where space galleons sail between planets.
The PlayStation 2 and PlayStation products are separate adventure games that let players assume the role of Jim Hawkins. The PC game is rather different. Developed by Barking Dog, the creator of Homeworld: Cataclysm, the PC Treasure Planet is a space-based real-time strategy game in which players command fleets of space galleons.
