Prototype is the 2nd best game I've ever played next to Bioshock, and I've played about every 1st person game out there by my age of 41. This game excels in almost every area. You develop and use different abilities throughout the game- sort of like Crysis, but better! The game is totally interactive- you can destroy & use just about everything. This is ONLY the 2nd game after Bioshock that I ever watched or listened to the story line as it really matters in this game. Most games it's just annoying to me as I want to get out there and create havoc. The main story line is great, and is quite challenging most of the time. There are also many side missions. And you can also run around just destroying people & zombies at will if you want. There is non-stop action throughout the game. The game play does remind me of other games, mostly a combination of Spiderman, Crysis, and GTA. But it creates its own unique gameplay that is truly fun and exciting. As in any game, there are things I'd like to do- like drive any car I want, etc. Sometimes going clear across town is tiring, but once you have the soaring ability, it gets better. Overall though, a really great choice! So many games out there today focus only on multiplayer modes, and this one excels at great single-player action! I don't write many reviews, so if you like single-player games with a lot of action, fun, gore, and chaos, this is it!
