Its like he doesn't even care about reviewing the game. Atleast get someone who cares about their job and who has played the game.

I think this game is outright stupid.What's the point? Slaughtering? It seems that all it feeds on is the person's craving for power and control. This is basically for people whom are basically losers in real life, the passive aggressive and those whom would kill everyone around them.It sure doesn't seem as if the character can be stopped... so I ask.. what is the point??The reviewer mentions «mindless violence» and a «stupid adventure». That's what it seems like to me. Just a stupid game that feeds the morbid and mentally challenged.

A game isn't supposed to be fun? If you are having fun playing it, good, if not, stop playing or don't play it, simple like that.

Black n white cut senses? What is this Schindler's List. People need to stop copying that crap movie.
@Kain_Darothic Cut senses? Oh, cut SCENES!.. Just so you know, black and white «memory recall» cut SCENES have been around in cinematography FAR before Schindler's List. They are a very effective and direct method to have the viewer comprehend that something is being «recalled» from the past... Of course, for people with Attention Deficit Disorder and those whom can't sit still even while taking a cr@p__Black & white can be annoying.
1 Like So I got this game, and a 7.5 is kinda low... Prototype 2 is WAY better than Prototype 1 in my opinion and having a lot of new powers does make killing infected more fun. Also the story was not weak, there was a lot of suspense when you found out all about Mercer's plans and stuff. So I would at least give it an 8.5 at the minimum.

honestly all my favorite games deserve a 10/10. i dont care. also gamespot keeps getting the score wrong on my favorites. im starting to think gamespot is biased

It is a great game I go off track and just kill people and tanks or the freaky monster things and go off quests . I have not rated the game yet because i have not beat it tho an 7.5 is low for how much fun i think the game is. It is the way i hoped the last gta should of been so much fun being a god of the city and just attacking people and monsters in a really bloody fashion.
My gf enjoys the game for the combat and powers though even she notices the crappy target system, lack of powers compared to first one, and of course the annoying enter this action command in the middle of your combo, or great u tapped this action command but it didn't do anything, honestly I think this game is just a paint over job of the last one. Just my opinion but 7.5? I'd say your being a tad generous hm?

What I liked the most about Prototype was being overpowered, good thing that was kept here, being able to destory entire armies with lots of soldiers, tanks and helicopter was awesome... but yeah, games meant just to be fun are criticised for not challenging the player, good thing I know how to enjoy a fun game.

It's great to see a game that is so ridiculously over the top (and with no other real positives) that it is fun to play.
1 Like @PS3BigFan Funny you should mention that but In Infamous 2 it was Tom Mc Shea that gave it a 7.5 Opposing to other sites and now he rated Prototype 2 another 7.5...I am not saying something here it just seems a funny coincidence that's all

Prototype 1 got 8.5 and Prototype 2 got 7.5, fair enough. Infamous 1 got 9.0 and Infamous 2 got 7.5, maybe they were expecting more from such good game don't you think? I have Infamous 1 and 2, and I have Prototype 1 and 2. I played Infamous a couple of times, but I never stopped playing Prototype, so, that must mean something too.
@dalua360 Actually you're wrong! Infamous 2 improved a lot over the original. It's exactly the same way how Assassin's Creed 2 was 100 times better than the original. Yet the first Infamous game got 9/10. I played both games and Infamous 2 is 10 times more fun, better story, better control, superior powers, destructible parts of the buildings in the city, shocking and epic endings, should I say more. IGN gave it 9/10, Metacritic 83/100, GameRankings 84/100, GameSpy 9/10.
@PS3BigFan It's easy and simple.... inFAMOUS 2 as an exclusive that it is, has the obligation to deliver nothing less than perfection, so the expectations behind inFAMOUS 2 were huge and the developer didn't deliver. In other hand, Prototype 2 just needed to maintain the baseline from the first one, easy job.....
Definite improvement over the first game. It's taking a while to get used to the switch up controls, though. Heller moves a bit slower than Mercer from what I've played so far. Love the black & white art style of the cutscenes. Very nice touch.
Of course as usual low rating by GS. Game is totally immersive and targeted for specific players that appreciate chaos. So if you're not that type player then don't rate this game.

@dalua360 I don't care about graphics however Graphics of any game is one of the parameter that give the final score for any game. My point was that GameSpot really hate any PS3 exclusive and always give them less than what they deserve. Infamous 2 is superhero sandbox game, it's challenging unlike Prototype 2 and has a better graphics. So how can both games get the same score. Just watch the review of Infamous 2 which has been made by the same reviewer here and you'll understand what I'm saying. He keeps complaining about the game (it's bad, the camera sucks, not as good as the first one,..etc) while in this review he kept saying it's a good game.
This game is for casual gamers IMO. The developers went for gameplay over graphics. similar to the first game and the mission structure is similar to the Hulk game developed by the same studio. i think?
@PS3BigFan Did you play Prototype 2? Or the only important thing in a game are the graphics?
@MasterOfSprites Of course, you'll always be able to find someone who dislikes something. The scores say that you are in the minority, however.
