from the immersive way you address and hit the ball, to the way the weather, wind and terrain affect your ball, this is definitely the best golf sim / game i've played to date. After playing Links 2004 since it came out, I've been waiting for a game to rival it in how realistic the gameplay was when it came down to it. Now I can say I've played that game, and I'm extremely impressed. Ok, now to the game itself. Not the best looking game out there, but the graphics are no doubt tolerable for the price ($19.99 at BestBuy). It is most obvious when you watch the golfer you're playing with hit his approach and it doesn't zoom in past the trees. Pixels galore, but it is not that important to me, and does not affect the gameplay any. I really can't say enough about how they designed the way you address the ball and ultimately hit the thing. This is the most fully functioning system I've ever had to use in a golf game and I love it!!! Very difficult shots all of a sudden have simple solutions with this 'interface'.

The sheer number of courses impressed the hell out of me. I'm not sure exactly as i'm not sitting in front of the game now, but i'm telling you, there's a ton. There are also numerous licensed pro golfers that are making an appearance in this game. I've not played this game long enough to give much of a take on the career mode of the game. I find that this will definitely be the mode I play the most as there is NO online (PSG 2 maybe?). Career mode confuses me slightly as I've yet to be able to get into a tournament worthy of a damn thing. This is because I haven't gained enough 'renown' and I understand, but it seems a little hard to get enough of this to compete in the early tourneys and that slightly disappoints me.

Other than graphics and that, I have no complaints about the game whatsoever. So if you want something that is not so arcade like as Tiger and are itching for some real golf, then you're definitely in luck.
