Eligibility: The GameSpot Double Dare You Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding residents of Rhode Island and any other jurisdiction where participation may be prohibited or restricted by law) who are at least 18 years of age or older and who have an active e-mail account and Internet access at time of entry. Employees of CNET Networks, Inc., Chicago Hauntings Tours, Inc., NOGT LLC., Hilltop New Media, Inc., Sony Pictures Digital, Inc., Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and their advertising or promotion agencies, those involved in the production, development, implementation or handling of this Sweepstakes, any agents acting for, or on behalf of the above entities, their respective parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries, licensees, service providers, and any other person or entity associated with this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), members of their immediate families (spouses, children, siblings, parents), and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, whether or not related, are ineligible to enter this Sweepstakes.

One Online Entry per person, household and/or e-mail address during the entire Sweepstakes Period. Use of any automated or programmed entry method or any false e-mail account will void all entries made by that entrant. All entries become the property of Sponsor.

Actual value of prize depends on the city of departure, time of travel, any airfare fluctuations, and any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value, if any, will not be awarded. All travel must be taken by December 31, 2007 unless Sponsor in its discretion determines otherwise.
Travel arrangements will be made through the travel coordinator designated by Sponsor. Trip is subject to air/hotel availability, holiday and blackout dates, and other conditions and restrictions provided by prize coordinator/supplier. If the grand prize winner or trip guest lives within 100 miles of Chicago, IL or New Orleans, LA the air transportation portion of the prize will not be awarded and no additional compensation will be provided. Airline and flight times to be selected by air supplier at its sole discretion. One or more stopovers may be required on air transportation. Winner and his/her guest must travel together at the same time on the same itinerary. Air transportation, if applicable, and hotel accommodations must be taken together and cannot be taken separately. Once trip dates have been booked, no change, extension or substitution of trip dates is permitted, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, certificates or similar items once they are in winner’s possession, or in the possession of winner's guest. Sweepstakes Entities shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels or other transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to passengers including any results thereof such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. Sweepstakes Entities shall not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage. Winner and guest(s) are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary and required travel documents.

All airline tickets issued in conjunction with prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code-share flights may be used. Prize components cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, and no portion may be separated except at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Guest of winner must be at least 18 years of age. If winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, his/her parent/legal guardian must accompany him, and such person must arrange and pay for all of his/her expenses unless determined to be the allotted guest. If winner elects to travel alone or not partake in any provide prize component, no additional compensation will be awarded.

All expenses not specifically referred to herein shall be the responsibility of winner. Winner must supply Administrator with his/her social security numbers for tax purposes. Winner will receive and will be required to complete an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of the prize (stated above) in the calendar year won. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Taxes, if any, are solely the responsibility of the winner. No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for the prize (or prize component), except that Sponsor, at its sole discretion, may substitute the prize (or prize component) with a prize of equal value, due to unavailability of an advertised prize/prize component. Prizes are awarded "as-is" with no warranty and guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor or Sweepstakes Entities.

All valid entries will be entered into the prize drawing, which will be held on our about May 2, 2006 at Sponsor’s offices at 235 Second Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. Potential prize winner will be selected via a random electronic drawing held under the supervision of Sponsor from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend upon the number of valid entries received. If potential prize winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian, who will be required to sign an Affidavit and General Release form on behalf of the minor winner. The name of the prize winner can be obtained from GameSpot, beginning 30 days after the winner is chosen, by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to GameSpot Double Dare You Sweepstakes Winners List, c/o GameSpot.com, 235 Second Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.

Claiming a Prize: : Potential winner will be notified via email and/or telephone within 5 days following the prize drawing using the email address or telephone number he/she provided with his/her entry. Prize must be claimed within 10 days or will be deemed forfeited. To claim the prize, winner must respond to GameSpot's prize notification email and complete the Affidavit and General Release included with such email. In the event of noncompliance within this period or in the event Sponsor is unable to contact any potential winner or a prize notification or prize is returned, Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternative potential winner for any unclaimed forfeited prize. Prize will be shipped to winner at GameSpot's expense, although GameSpot is not responsible for lost or stolen shipments or any prize returned as undeliverable.

General Conditions: : All entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and Regulations and by the decision of Sponsor and any judges, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree and consent that any information provided may be used by Sponsor in accordance with its respective privacy policy. Acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s consent to have his or her name released in a winner’s list which will be made available to the public. Additionally, by opting-in to specific offers from any of the Sweepstakes Entities, entrant’s entry information will be subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service and entrant agrees to receive additional email communication from those companies. In case of a dispute over the identity of the entrant who submitted the winning Internet entry, the authorized account holder of the email address associated with that entry will be deemed the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Said entrant must comply with these Official Rules and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, may be required to provide proof of ownership of the email account.
