I spent literally hours looking for a new game to buy, mainly on this site and after reading many reviews, and watching gameplay I finally decided upon this game. I was especially looking for a difficult and lengthy game, which this game fails to be in both respects. Oh and by the way, the multiplayer game is non-existent, literally! There are no games or players, I suspect there were initially, whether this is due to the Eidos server or just simply lack of players I am unsure. However, this game is solid. The graphics are good, sound too, and all the other basics. In my personal opinion it is a more rounded Killzone, but then it lets itself down by being far, far too short (I completed it in 5 days), it has no difficulty setting and has no on-line or multiplayer use! Initially I thought this game was great, the weapons were cool, good use of alternate fire modes, like in Perfect Dark on the N64, and exellent 'bio augmentations' which really added the difference between this game and Killzone. However, after a certain amount of progression through the game these 'aug's which consist of special powers such as night/heat vision, invincibility, slow-motion etc, become unnecessary as you have so much fire power at your disposal, you simply don't need to use them. Add to this the pick-ups which are around every corner, you rarely die and it is all far too easy. Having said all this I did enjoy the game, I just wish it had a difficulty setting, I think something as fundamental as this would have improved this game immensly. The action is good and there is plenty of it, and you can occasionally be a bit tactical and less American in your style of combat. This game is not a buy in a million years, but if you want some instant action soldier go and sign up at your local rental store!
