A Good Solid Romp

User Rating: 8.2 | Project: Snowblind PS2
Project Snowblind has alot going for it. It is just the perfect blend of First Person and Third Person action.

The Graphics in the game are truly a sight to be seen on the PS2. The detailed textures and high grade character models make Killzone look like Half Life on the PC. I was amazed to see that everything looked high def for the game. They are far from revolutionary but are some of the best on PS2.

The Sound is pretty good. The voice acting is great I liked Nathan's no nonsense voice. The sound effects are servicable, the gun sounds are not really that good but are workable.

Controling Nathan is fluid and responsive. The controls are what you would find on the PS2 which is good, meaning that you don't have to learn much to play the game.

The Gameplay however is repetitive. Much like Halo it is go into a room and kill the same exact person you killed two room back. It also consists of going to the next objective marker. After awhile it just gets bland and boring.

So if you want a great FPS on the PS2 Snowblind is servicable but I would recommend Red Faction if you haven't played it. Don't get me wrong it is not a bad game by any means, but I expected much more than what is here.
