If you're looking for an entertaining, and not exremely realistic, street racing game for the X-Box, then Project Gotham Racing should be considered. Project Gotham Racing has a good variety of cars to choose from, tracks to race on, and different types of objectives. You start with only a few basic races available, as well as only the most basic cars. As you complete goals, you get "Kudos Points" and medals, which are used to unlock cars and other accessories, and to allow you to proceed in the mission section of the game. This game clearly leans toward fun over reality. You can go full throttle into a building or barrier at 140mph and you'll just bounce off. Your car will sustain some visible damage, but clearly not as much as it should, and it won't effect the actual driving. The only other real complaint I have is that it can take a very long time to earn a faster vehicle, which is necessary to even keep up with other cars in some races. And when you do manage to get the best of the best cars, they're so extremely fast that accelerating will just spin the tires & make it difficult to control. These flaws can easily be forgiven if you're a racing game enthusiast. I'm not really, but I still got plenty of enjoyment out of this game.
