So, basically, there's no point in arguing which one's better because the differences don't mean jack. At this point, it's more of...which exclusives do you prefer? Which console do your buddy's have, you'll want to be playin them in multiplayer, right? There's also the money argument...buy a PS3 and get a free blu-ray player. Buy the Xbox360 Elite and then drop another $100+ on an inexpensive blu-ray player. Honestly, I'd rather own both than just one. There's plenty of good games on both console, and the whole "This one is -the- console to own" thing is just...retarded. If you're worried about not having enough money to buy everything, you're still better off going with the PS3 if you'd like to have a blu-ray player. Heheh, I don't even like to count the Arcade for this...sure, you can play the games, but any online content is going to be lost to you...and the amount of money you'd have to spend making it so you -can- get online content is an outrageous joke.
so...basically, unless you're super anal about this kind of thing it doesn't really matter, just buy whatever suits your style the most. Or, for that matter, if you've enough spending money and like to have a huge variety to choose from, then just get both and get the version that the controller feels best with :p
My fiancee and I bought Pearl and Diamond on it's release night during my lunch break. I'm 23. So. Game's still as fun, if not more, than it was when I first played the original waaa---aay back. So much fun XD If you think games directed at all ages (usually refered to as kiddie games) are stupid, try playing them. They're usually loads of insane fun.
