Word on the street is that Eddie Makuch will be doing all GS reviews going forward.

If that's true, gamespot is history as far as reviews goes. Not gonna judge a book by it's cover and all, but Eddie has been gamespots clickbait for too long to have any weight in the community imo.

Idk, with Kevin gone, gamespot is pretty much a wasteland as far as actual knowledge goes. I love Danny and he is pretty much the only one with integrity left. Just to pull an example though, I think it was a lobby episode with Fallout discussion, Kevin would've nailed it, but those who actually attended, was mediocre at best, an insult to the franchise, and they didn't even bother to read up on the subject to face it, we are talking about a beloved franchise with a franchise title being number one on the list here. Not good enough....If Danny shapes up to the role, he could replace Kevin, no one else.

It's quite simple, the more you pay, the more you get. If economy is essential for your purchase you should rather ask what is the best purchase you can do with your current budget. If you plan on gaming in 1080p, you can reduce cost immensely.

"it has a learning curve and actually challenges you to be smart through trial and error."

Thats a paradox..... smart people don't learn by failing at every twist and turn.....

Trial and Error barely even constitutes learning...... memorizing would be more accurate.

I disagree with this. It does actually challenge you to be smart. You can't just lazily go through the game. You have memorize like you said and think about what you are doing and if you want to do this. You can't just run head first into everything. I get what you are saying and hurting yourself is no good. Failing is not always good and failure is failure but at the same time running into everything with no thought whatsoever is a massive failure whether people realize this or not.

I like how bloodborne can change what you are doing and how you have to prepare and do certain things. It makes you think that way.

I see the point but I too find that logic faulty because that would mean people memorizing mathematical formulas and through hard work get the letters dr. in front of their names are not smart. Memorizing is knowledge, and knowledge is power, I think we all can agree on that.

That depends on what you see yourself spending on a GPU really, to run current games on medium with a tight budget an old GTX 560ti would probably be enough for 1080p, or an AMD R9 270x. Ideally you have a pretty good CPU there and with some extra 4 GB of RAM, a decent GPU, maybe throw an SSD in there also and you would be pretty well set, just saying.

20 hours too short? Unless you're talking about RPGs I think too many games today are very short such as fps. Back then a fps could last about 10-20 hours but so many today last about 5 hours.

When fps games had a longer campaign they where often not MP oriented like most are today, the reason SP campaigns are short lately is because most people skip it outright and enter MP as soon as they unbox it. BF, COD etc.

I remember how amazing it was when GTA III arrived, that big world to explore and with 3rd person, it was crazy!

I finished watching the third season yesterday. I don't think season three packs quite the same punch as the first two but it's good.

Well I don't have a problem with AO rated games being on Steam per se but I think this "game" is pure trash so I certainly have no interest in it.
