So is this the latest fad or what? Massive (read: desolate) space games? Aren't there like five of these things already?

I can't say for sure since I haven't played the game yet but you could keep an eye out for Wasteland 2 which is supposed to be released 19 September.

Yay, Persona 5... A title that's also coming to PS3.

Yay, Dragon Quest... One of the most beloved jrpg franchises is now coming to PS4, as a non-jrpg.

Yay, Disgaea... The fifth installment of an overmilked franchise that puts zero effort into refreshing their games except adding minor tweaks to the battle system.

Yay, Ys... Actually I don't know anything about this but judging from the above games, I'm guessing this one isn't going to be much to brag about.

I'm just shaking my head man, this new gen is off to a *GREAT* start... A whole bunch of fps games, even more action and less rpg in the "rpg" games, re-mastered versions of already released games, big focus on even more indie crap with pixelated sidescrollers that will get filthy amounts of praise, jrpgs becoming even less relevant.

Not even close. I have loads of game left to play on my PS3. Furthermore I can't even afford a next-gen console right now anyway but that doesn't matter because I really don't want one either. So far no console have really showed enough interesting games for me to invest in one.

Wow lol... This is some serious drama.

Girl game developer cheats with her boss and staff.
Phil Fish whiteknighting, meltsdown once again.
Phil Fish and his company hacked, lots of private data compromised.
Some pretty interesting evidence claim Phil Fish mostly faked the hacking of his company.
Some claim this could end quite bad for Phil Fish, aka prison time.

Really curious to see how this is gonna turn out. I mean, Phil is a douche but I'm not too sure if he really deserves jailtime for this.

for the pc crowd. I haven't played this game since 09 to be honest

Oh ya had me scared there for a second. Before I clicked I thought; "hope it's not some stupid political correctness change". Then I read your comment, "pc crowd" and I went "aww hell naw it's time to rage...". Heheheh.

Already been mentioned but I still want to give a shout out to Vampires: The Masquerade Bloodlines. Any wrpg or vampire fans need to play this.

I approve of these FF towns. Theyr'e great. However, because you didn't include any wrpgs, you forgot the best of the best.

Athkatla, the capital of Amn, from Baldur's Gate 2.

Absolutely beautiful. Great music. The background noise like the merchants in trade district, the birds, the dogs barking, the screams during nighttime over at the docks is the best in any game ever. Many games lack this these days, it's a shame because it made the city feel much more alive.

It was also huge (biggest city in a rpg perhaps?), full of mysteries and probably had like what, at least 60 hours of content in it?

After 3 years of school that focused on technology and 3 years of university studies of computer science I can confirm this is how the majority of the typical gaming girl (except they tend to be more red haired) look. Hot, bit petite, often red haired, Other traits include being quirky and contrary to what might be popular belief, extremely outgoing and social.

Actually now that I think about it, that describes a lot of girls hah but the point is, I googled her and I could just instantly go "yeah that's a typical gamer girl". There's something about gamer girls that makes you instantly recognize them. Like they radiate some kind of Gamer Girl aura...
