For me it's the greatest video game ever made. 8 years on and It's still light years ahead of it's nearest competitor.
Like a fine wine or a classic movie, OFP just seems to improve with age. Obviously the graphics haven't aged very well but the gameplay remains as solid and absorbing as it ever was. The A.I in this game is just incr... Read Full Review3 of 3 users found the following review helpful
Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis
Guitar Rock Tour
I've just finished the game and I have to admit I did feel a little disappointed. It's not as good as Obilivon and I was hoping it would be. The game does create the illusion of being huge but it really isn't. The... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Just a mess of a game the falls at every hurdle. I had to stop playing it otherwise I would've thrown my controller at my very expensive TV and I can't afford to do that again. The game starts off bad and gets progre... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Alone in the Dark
I'm a Battlefield veteran and started playing this immediately after I'd finished (and got bored with) Battlefield 2142. I wanted something that was similar but had enough originality to keep me interested. Frontline... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Frontlines: Fuel of War
I thought I was pretty smart until I played this and saw my average score show up on the Xbox Live leaderboard at place 50,567. That's extremely depressing knowing there are 50,000 gamers out there smarter than me, even... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Like most people my age I'd love to have a full-sized pinball table in my living room but I can't afford it and my g/f wouldn't allow it so I have to make do with virtual tables instead. Pinball FX isn't the best pinb... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
If you've played the demo of this game then you've already seen everything this game has to offer. What you did in the demo is exactly what you'll do in the full version over and over again - running and shooting brain-... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
A competent GTA clone that looks amazing. A little shallow and repetative but it's outragous and great fun to play.
I hated this game at first. I only paid £5 for it and was still annoyed at having spent this much on the game. The controls are awkward, the cars handle unrealistically, the voice acting is terrible, it's WAY too easy.... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Project Gotham Racing 4
An impressive update of an outstanding game. Gorgeous graphics, super-smart A.I and great fun to play.
Excellent game. The first racing game that I've played where the A.I opponents actually show signs of intelligence and personality. Racing offline feels like you're racing online. Everyone fights dirty and when take s... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Interesting story but the game is a technical nightmare which saps all the fun out of it. A chore to play.
I didn't enjoy this game at all. It became a chore to play but I stuck with it as long as my patience would allow but in the end I had to stop - my sanity depended on it. The early levels are very impressive and the ... Read Full Review2 of 6 users found the following review helpful
The Orange Box
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
Another step closer to football perfection. A few minor issues prevent this year's effort from being superb.
I have to admit, I haven't been loyal to Pro Evolution Soccer. I've always bought FIFA but this year I decided to switch teams. And I'm glad I did. PES is simply more fun and more accessible then FIFA. This year th... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Clive Barker's Jericho (Limited Edition)
Exciting, innovative and immerisive - Jericho is a first person shooter not to be missed by anyone. Great fun.
I read the Gamespot review like everybody else and was put off buying this game. The demo was very impressive but way too short to get a feel of the game properly. I decided to buy the game and see for myself. I love ... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Yes, it's short. But it's an absolute joy from start to finish. From the second the game starts you're right in the thick of the action. In every level you're heavily under fire from all directions. Nowhere is safe (... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Medal of Honor: Airborne
Sad news that Colin McRae recently died in a helicopter crash so the series must end with DIRT. But what a way to end such an amazing series of games. DIRT is everything you could possible want in a driving game: gre... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
World Cup 2006 was easily the most forgettable World Cup ever, but this game is much more fun and very cheap to buy now.
Cheap 360 games are now appearing on ebay. I picked this up for only £6. At that price you can't go wrong - if it sucks sell it to someone else and make a small profit. Suprisingly, unlike the actual World Cup, ... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
This is one of the most addictive games I have ever played. I didn't like it at first because there's no story; you're an agent and it's your task to take out all the gang leaders in city - that's it. But what got me h... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Rainbow Six Vegas strays even further away from its PC strategy-based original, but it's still a winner.
Superb game. It offers nothing new in terms of gameplay but who cares when you can blow the crap out a virtual Vegas. It looks fantastic and luckily I have a rig big enough to handle it....just. The casino interiors... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
ESPN NFL 2K5
I got this game cheap and played it because I was bored one weekend. WOW.....where had this game been all my life. I'm not into American Football - never watch it, don't care who wins the Superbowl, but I LOVE this g... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
This is a great game, it looks great, plays great and sounds great. It does however have its problems which keeps it from being the superb game it could have easily been. 1. Slow-mo button. A neat gimmick which you... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
The best WWII game ever. So immersive you'll need treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after playing it.
I loved Call of Duty on the PC and actually bought an Xbox 360 for the sole purpose of playing it's sequel. I've more recently bought a high-end PC and played Call of Duty 2 all over again. It's simply an amazing game.... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Once again the Xbox 360 hasn't been stretched at all and Top Spin 2 is almost identical to the Xbox original. Lazy.
Top Spin on the Xbox was a great game. Top Spin 2 on the 360 is also a great game but it looks almost identical to the Xbox version. Again the players don't look anything like their flesh and blood counterparts, more l... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
