Yet were supposed to believe these insane casualty ratios, despite the fact the casualties have been kept confidential. Sometimes it's 3:1, other times it's 7:1, even 10:1. So many in the West choose to believe this despite the fact that an aging military is a classic sign of depleted personnel.

@uninspiredcup: This is just not true. What both sides perceive as "meat waves" is just the reality of modern trench warfare. Russia didn't do this in Georgia or Chechnya. He used Bakhmut as an example, but Ukraine took just as many casualties there, if not more.

Former Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny very wisely wanted to withdraw 2 months ago. Dipshit Zelensky said no and sacked him. The results are that the town is still lost and thousands more Ukrainians are dead or captured.

By the end of the battle their defense collapsed because their artillery couldn't even fire back at the Russians. Their escape was literally driving down broken roads as Ruskie shells rain down.

wtf are you talking about? The plot of SH3 doesn't even really start until about halfway through the game, you're just trying to get Heather home up until that point. Where in the mall, subway, or sewers is anything being explained? I'd say a lack of explanation is what the first act of that game suffers from.

At any rate, you're missing the point. I'm not talking about plot, I'm talking about the psychological elements and their emotional weight.

From a SH fan since 1998 and was captivated since following Cheryl down the alley, this is one the worst entries because the game had no balls. It's like the developers didn't trust the audience to discover that game's psychological elements by themselves and shoved it in our faces. This used to be a series about subtlety.

Honestly think The Medium dealt with a story of trauma better than this. At least that game didn't flat out tell me how I should feel.

If history is any indication, Russia has never lost a war without first losing at least 500,00 men. Last estimate is between 70,000 - 150,000. So Ukraine has a hell of a ways to go.

Then again, they have never won an offensive war (on their own) without controlling left bank Ukraine in the first year, which they haven't been able to do.
