Can't believe this is even being debated. Sony has proven themselves generation after generation as consistent. They have more proven IPs more proven developers , more attractive hardware, will have more players online, VR, fastest IO, most popular controller, etc. How did this even become a discussion just because Xbox has a slight advantage ON PAPER? How many generations does it take to realize PS will stay on top unless they screw things up? Playstation sells well everywhere, Xbox only sales good in US.
Man, if you had told me this right before the PS3 released, I'd agree with you. 6 months after the release of the PS3? Now I'm laughing at you.
I have my slight cow tendencies and can definitely see that Microsoft had a huge influence on where this went. I thought the Xbox would go much farther than it did. The good use of online was quite the game changer, that Nintendo STILL hasn't fully figured out, nearly TWO DECADES later. I get that they are trying to protect children, but I think it would be much better if we could do more provided we could prove we were older.
I always really liked where Media Molecule was going with their games.
I remember first seeing Dreams and thinking, what is going on here. Then I realized it was what they meant for LBP to be, and fell in love with the idea.
I can't remember the last time I legit had fun actually "playing around" with a game. It almost feels as if a small portion of my childhood was restored. I've played good games recently that were more like movies, and other games which required skill, but very very few remind me of why I started gaming in the first place--they were just fun.
@Chutebox: Yeah, before you could only add one message at a time to a thread and then the text box would disappear. If you wanted to add two different messages you had to refresh the page.
