@pyro1245: I read somewhere that can be difficult as the xbox game pass games are treated as "windows apps" and do not have the .exe file to link :(

Howdy all!

I am currently LOVING Xbox game pass but some games I'd rather play on a couch with a controller.

I have a laptop hooked up to my living room TV so I essentially want to stream windows 10 to Windows 10.

Ran into this article on using the built in "Connect" app to mirror my desktop to my TV but I don't know how to have a Xbox controller work in the living room when mirroring :(

https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/turn-windows-10-pc-into-wirelss-display

Does anybody have any articles or advice they could share? Or is it possible to stream Xbox game pass games via steam somehow?

Thanks so much for any help!

One of the best games of 2013.

This. I absolutely loved the new DMC. I also played with with a controller but the KB+M scheme seemed all right for the bit I used it.

@FelipeInside: It wouldn't be an AH like D3 though, I'd hope you arn't farming gold to acquire new cards. I mean, this is a card game. It can't be called a TCG without the trading which...adds a lot to the community and social environment in this kind of realm. I feel the single factor of not allowing it is so the player base are forced to buy your booster packs. After my experience in the beta they basically force you to purchase booster packs for any progression as the "quests" to get new packs is *VERY* grindy.

It's beta though, I hope things get better.

@True_Sounds: That logic of "We want to make more money in sacrifice of the player experience" makes much more sense than the reasons they gave....spose that's the blizzard way. Guess it hurts PR to outright say that though. As said I don't care if it is in or isn't but my god those reasons they gave literally came out of their ass.

Just saw an article on IGN with a Blizzard gentlemen working on Hearthstone describing why the game will not allow players to trade cards. This post is not so much being mad at not allowing card trading, although I do think it would be a very good thing, but mainly his reasoning. I'm really not trying to be asinine but can anyone give me logical thoughts as to Blizzard's excuses for not allowing it?

Short version before quoting him (tl:dr version)

1. Players may willingly trade off their good cards for crap cards (um...really? That's your reason?)

2. ???? I seriously don't understand it. Digital cards are not infinite? Wtf?

(Article quote on subject)

“What it comes down to is our guiding principles and our philosophy for Hearthstone. We want to make Hearthstone a game for everyone, and part of that is that it needs to be very accessible. Another way to say that is that we want it to be very safe for all types of players to come in and have a great experience playing the game,” he said. “Trading is a good way to build out your collection, but it comes with some down sides. One of those down sides is that as a new player, I don’t always know what my cards are worth. Maybe I got a legendary and it looks really cool, but I’m not really interested in playing this particular legendary because I’m not playing priest. Somebody comes along and says, ‘hey, I got these two rare cards, I’ll trade them for your one.’ ‘Two for one, that’s a great deal!’ There’s a chance there that I’m not really getting the best deal in terms of the trade I’m making. So that’s one down side to trading that we want to protect our players from.”

“Another reason we went down that path is because, with a secondary market through trading, you’re not always guaranteed an infinite supply,” he continued. “You can try to get a particular card that you’re really excited about – say you finally accumulated enough cards to trade for Onyxia – but it’s sold out. There are no more Onyxias. Our crafting system allows you, once you’ve accumulated enough dust, you can craft that Onyxia. Obviously, because you’re getting it through the game, you’ll always have a chance to get that. So those are two of the reasons why we went down that path. It just aligned a little bit better with our philosophies for the game.”

I don't know jack about anything, but is it possible the first mobo was the problem and it screwed up the CPU?  That leads to the theory that the second mobo is also faulty and so on...

Not that it matters but if you could prove the first mobo was defective and damaged the cpu, maybe they'd pay for your new one?

Hawkeye747

I don't know if that's a possibility either honestly but all the parts are fairly new. They won't give me a refund on the 4770 but they offered me a return so that I can get another at no cost to me, advanced RMA even so they are sending me the new 4770 before I have to send the broken one back. Regardless in this scenario I'd rather just get a refund...

As an update it turned out to be a bad cpu...I took out my 4770k in my main rig, tossed it in this one and...am currently typing this post on the computer lol. However, the other 2 mobo's I do believe were bad as I *also* took my 4770k and placed it into them to no post. With that said they were identical mobo's from Asus, this 3rd one I got is from Asrock.

Regardless working with an ITX case has been hell. Have hated every minute of it :( But at least it's running now...until I anger it.

I've made a few older posts regarding this build. I received 2 (count'em) 2 bad mobo's from Asus in a row that would not POST at all. I received a 3rd mobo from Asrock that I got to BIOS in (woo!). I thought for sure I was in the clear but now I am getting blue screen during windows installation.

The error windows 8 gives is a simple "WHEA Uncorrectable Error" during installation.

Things I have tried:

1.) remove GPU

2.) use alternative HDD

3.) use 1 stick of RAM, each stick in each slot of mobo alternatively

4.) PSU is fine from a multimeter test

5.) use an alternative Windows install

This leaves me to believe either *both* sticks of RAM are bad and I'm ungodly unlucky. My CPU is bad, or my mobo (god forbid) is bad. Does anyone have any possible tips on the matter? One thing I intend to try is to flash the BIOS to the most current version. This is very aggravating though not even being able to install Windows.
