I have a question about starting a new game on ranger hardcore for those of you who have beaten it. Does doing that erase your entire game progress and wipe the whole thing clean? As in if I decide to call it quits and play on an easier difficulty in a later level, all my chapter select will be erased?

my buddy totally made fun of me for complaining about this, saying i was nit-picking, but i'd like to hear your thoughts on it:

in the game notice how literally every time you kill someone, their bodies start to flash and highlight as a cue to loot them, as well as their weapons.......and any dead animals...and alot of other stuff is constantly flashing all the time. that is reeeeeeaaaally annoying, jeez i wish you could turn that off. Like, the fact that every dead guy is flashing on the ground after a firefight makes Far Cry 3 feel more arcade-ish than it should. is anyone with me on this or am i just being a realism whore? i noticed enough pc players complained about it that there were patches and mods made to tweak the hud and turn that stuff off. j i like the game and its one of the very few things that i dislike about it.

Hey!

I was worried it was overheating but crysis has nevr caused that for me. To be sure i just sat down for a couple hours and played half the game, including the very gpu intensive levels, running it longer and pushing it farther than i did when my friend was over.....i have a temp monitor i always use....and as usual and also after this gaming session i just did....the tempuratures were far below dangerous levels for my parts. So it definetally wasn't overheating, cuz of this and also i use a laptop cooler to be safe always. So it doesnt seem overheating was an issue.

The ram thing might be possible i suppose i should check that. Theres two other possibilities that im considering...1 is the fact that my sound card sometimes stutters on the rare occasion...this time it might have caused a lock up due to the stuttering. The other is this lenovo laptop has an emergency button that opens up One Key Recovery which is a system recovery tool. It is possible my friend accidentally pressed that during the game.

Whatever happened it was very random and its never happened before and doesnt seem to be happening again,so at least it isnt recurring. Other than this incident this laptop always performs better than i expect it to its great. So weird. Hardware glitch maybe? Ive also been told when you set the sound quality to very high in crysis there are issues....could have been a multitude of things. I dunno what happened lol.

Hey ppl!

Im on a lenovo laptop that is set up as a gaming rig. It can run crysis on everything very high and shadows medium without any problems. Today i had my first problem and it seemed a bit serious so thought i would ask you guys what might have gone wrong.

I was with my friend playing on the last level and everything was smooth and running great then out of nowhere the computer completelylocked upwith a loud, sustainedbuzzing sound continuouslyeminating from the speakers. It was really random and rather alarming. We restarted thelaptop and booted crysis back up and finished the game with absolutely no problems...it was as if nothing happened. So do you guys know what the heckthat was? Perhaps a random freeze or memory leak or something?I have 4 gigs of ram which is plenty. There was no overheating issue and the power supply adapter was a bitwarm but not anymorewarm than usual. No viruses on my pc either.I have been playing crysis on this laptop fora couple months now and never had this issue. What the heck happened and how do i prevent that from happening in the future?

In case it is relevant i will say that on the very odd occasion the sound stutters for a second sometimes on any program but only for a second and that is very rare.

Aiighty i went out and bought it and so far its excellent!

Ill give u the rundown of how two games performed on it.

Napoleon Total War- I can play it on the highest setings highest resolution smoothly just ssao turned off.

Crysis- This one was theholy grailfor me when i was buying a laptop. I can play it on a low resolution setting with everything set to very high except for shadows which is medium. Runs smoothly with a good fps. If the lowest it ever drops is 19 fps and typically it maintains around 35, sometimes goes up to 50. The graphics in that game are so good its unbelievable. I don't even notice the low rezolution. Im proud this laptop can run that. Doesn't even get that hot either.

The screen rez is 1366x768.

Seems worth it so far

haha gerardo that pic made my day XD

yeah some of us were thinking he was full of it. then again i have asked some people and they have heard of viruses that can do that to one's console. but apparently you have to be on their friends list or open a message from them. ive always had an "i dont think so but what if" feeling about it

Hey ppl!

I was wondering about something: My friends and I know this gamer who i wont reveal his gamertag for the sake of privacy. But he claims to have the ability to go onto xbox live or xbox.com and obtain a gamers IP adress. Through this he uses a program apparently called "black majic" and he can not only mess with your account, but mess with your console as well. He claims that he can send someone a server command called "overflow" or something that can actually give someone the red ring of death or the E74 error viasending an overflowof info to the gpu/cpu and overheating itand inhibit the console from working for the victim. He apparently did it to a few people including myself, and i did get E74.....4 times in a row =( to the point of a free replacement console......he claimed he hacked me to one of my friends but this was of course, after it happened. He claims he can do it to anyone he wants and has done it to several people apparently. I deleted the guy from my list in hopes that it would hinder him from doing stuff to my console just incase he isn't bluffing.

But what i want to know is: Is this guy full of it? Like can someone seriously obtain a program that lets you give someone a 360 error or causes part of it to overheat? Am I safe if he is not on my friends list anymore?
