Bigger the media, the more content....is that simple. If you want UNCOMPRESSED true content, disc capacity is an advantage. Sometimes you can tell if audio/visuals have been compressed more so..etc. But yes, its not needed, but games get bigger and Sony's choice with bluray was due to movies not games, but of course they have to make it look like it effects both. Less compression requires higher bandwidth and more video and internal memory, so it isn't always better.

But on another note, Sonic Unleashed fell just short of perfection. If they didn't concentrate a lot on the werehog, or better yet, took the werehog out all together, I bet Sonic Unleashed would've been perfect. Even though the werehog levels suck, the hedegehog levels make up for the fact that nearly half the game isn't that great. Thank god the hedgehog levels are so freaking awesome! Sonic Unleashed is my personal game of the year for 2008 despite the werehog.

If Sonic Team took out the werehog comepletely and concentrated on only the hedgehog when making Sonic Unleashed, think of the possibilities! They could've made more hedgehog levels and made them longer. And they could've made the hub worlds larger and given them more of a purpose.

I totally agree, or they could just use the current engine to remake the original Sonic games, that would be awesome.

Few decent third-party titles, lots of crappy ports (Force Unleashed), gimmicky console with even more gimmicky addons (Wii Motion Plus wtf), no built-in HDD, no HD support, friendcodes... It's just not a console for a hard-core gamer.

If you're gonna use it mostly for rendering, you'd want to choose lots of RAM (4Gb is a must) and a fast dual-core (or quad-core if you can afford it) processor over a powerful graphics card. The QuadroFX cards are mostly used for visualization (like AutoCAD) and running simulations (like real-time fluid dynamics), so I doubt you'll really need one of those (although I believe they speed up 3dsMax's viewport, could be wrong about that)
