No. The point is, with running a torrent program, that it will take up bandwidth.

However I think Azureus has an option that allows you to not seed, ever... which is bad. Good for bandwidth, maybe, but still... bad.

i know that u can remove seeding as a feature in azureus, but if u have azureus u'd be stupid to do so, theres a reward feature that bumps u forward in the leeching queues depending on ur ratio (kinda like emule did) the higher ur upload ratio, ultimately, the faster ur downloads... i have about 40-50 gigs uploaded and about 30 gigs downloaded at the moment, and average about 1.5-2:1 ratios.....and if theres seeders out there, i can connect to em.... when i dont have so good of a ratio, seems to take longer to connect to seeds

are u guys serious? whenever i use utorrent and minimize it it totally bogs the download speed time and it lags up my internet connectino. whenever i use azureus i experience no lag whatsoever online resistance or internet at ALL. maybe cuz i live in canada it makes a difference?junk56

that is true to me too, although i never tried utorrent, i havent seen any lag or bog down on my system since my last upgrade, and that was about 2 years ago now.

since ps3 recognises it, in theory there should be a way (if azureus adds it in an update) so us to use basic features of it thru the ps3, i mean, if you can play, pause stop, rewind and fast forward media, u should be able to do the same in azureus, only changed commands to start resume, seed, cancel, remove, etc...... it will be interesting to see if anyone at azureus look into it??....

Aug 2, 2007 5:00 am PT Azureus is a bad program. It eats up a lot of memory over time due to a huge memory leak flaw.

What program do u use for torrents, and are the speeds sill good, every other app ive tried doesnt compair in connections or speed???

ive noticed this too... i use azureus all the time and saw the same thing on my psp via remoe play. this got me thinking. is there anything you can do within azureus media server style to download, manage or view torrent status,.. since this would be a totally sweet thing to be able to do when remote.????
