Download the demo and give it a go. People love to hate change, and for a long time I was doubting this reboot, and wasn't even really looking forward to it. The demo popped up in the store and all my concerns were washed away. In my opinion the game looks amazing, and plays even better. I love the angel and demon weapons ability to be switched to on the fly. In addition to the diverse weapons and combos, the grab-and-pull mechanics just strengthen the combat system that much more. I'll be picking up a copy tonight and only crying out of joy.
From playing through the demo numerous times on each difficulty, and reading tons of reviews, it seems I was completely wrong in doubting this reboot. The combat is absolutely fantastic and incredibly fluid, and the reviews are even stating the story is awesome as are the characters. Gamespots score is on the lower end of the spectrum, although it still does state that its a great game. Overall I honestly could care less what people say and want to hate on. The demo plays beautifully and I can't wait to grab my copy tonight.
My local gamestop where my pre-order is at isn't having a midnight launch tonight for the game, which sort of bummed me out as this is my most anticipated game of the year other than Dishonored. Turns out the nice lady from wal mart said "oh yes we have it, you can come get a copy right at midnight". I'm going to a concert tomorrow with my girlfriend which will be an all day afair, so I am opting to forgo the pre-order bonus(looks decent, but I'll take a copy at midnight over some side missions) in favor of playing a ton of FC 3 tonight at 12:01. I'm just wondering if anyone else has chosen to do something similar or if youre gamestops are possibly having a midnight release.
