@Wuflungdung: "Worth" is a relative term. Companies spend tens of millions of dollars developing these games, if they don't recoup losses, company shuts down. Company shuts down, publisher shuts down. Publisher shuts down, no more high quality games because no publisher can pay to have them developed.

Very nice article, very informative. I don't believe gamers really have much of an argument when it comes to DRM - if they want to continue playing quality games, gamers need to support the companies making them. If you don't like a game, don't buy it, sure, but don't pirate a game because "its not worth paying full price for". If piracy dropped off, publishers wouldn't feel the need to continue with SecuROM and other restrictive programs, so we don't really have that many people to blame other than ourselves as gamers for the issue.
