i dont care how it is compared to the first one.  It will be at least as good.  the first one is still miles better than newer RTS, story wise and gameplay wise.  Most new games have gimmicks like zooming in camera views or better graphics or 3-d interface.  I couldnt care less for that. I dont play RTS for that.  the new starcrat will have a brilliant storyline, just as original good gameplay mechanics, awesome online play and great cinematics.  thats more than I could say for the new C&C

that just shows how much you dont know. XP had the basically same graphical architecture becuase the DX software were mostly updates and programmed into the existing core. The core for graphical performance was same in both XP and ME....however, in vista, its a totally new graphical interface programmed into Vista itself....this means that you cant just download new dx10(not just a gimmick to make you buy vista but rather needed to make significant improvements that can't be done if it were based on the original core). Thus, one cant really mod XP to match dx10. although dx9.5 should b coming out it wont be anywhere near dx10

Gog

Nah, that just shows you're a bit too gullible repeating what MS tells you. Vista has both directx 9 and directx 10 runtimes. How would that be possible if two different interfaces couldn't co-exist? How could OpenGL and direct3D co-exit in XP? Those are also completely different. it's just a matter of right drivers and libraries.

are you serious? do you have any idea how foolish you sound?  I'm not gullible but you're misinformed.  OpenGL and direct 3d may be different interfaces but their are based off the SAME  basic PLATFORM.  LOL, Vista's dx10 is integrated INTO THE MAIN OS.  its a part of it.  in fact the main reason vista was made WAS TO IMPROVE THE GRAPHICAL CORE INTERFACE FOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT.....such as games and graphics intensive programs to compete with apple.  it doesnt matter that vista has directx 9 runtimes.  in fact, vista will soon be able to use a modified dx9 version but it will be slower and less effective than dx9 on xp pcs's...thats because its like a simulation.  get your facts straight, then call me gullible.

yea+ the dx10 cards that utillize vista arent even useful for another year, only crysis is the worthwhile game using dx10 software and that isnt even necessary to play the game

however, I do recommend buyind dx10 if you plan on spending thousnd or more in buying a new pc.  it will last you several years ahead.  Or, and i think this is better, buy vista, and upgrade only your card to dx10 and dont bother to do this until say end of this year when you will actually start seeing games using dx10

i think unreal 3 has potential, but for what its been used for its fairly crappy....rainbow six vegas looks like crap...its not bad, its very nice at times but compared to say GRAW(even though more interaction is possible with rainbow six) i think GRAw with its physics and lighiting is far better.  not to mention the quality of the programming on unreal 3....six vegas lags unnecessarily at points and I have a very fast PC.  i think its because of red storm as opposed to unreal 3 developers but its not a particularly great presentation of it....crytek 2 looks amazing, hands down...beyond anything anyone can say

you can play two thrones....funny cuz i got both the game and that controller for pc  today......they both work fantastic on my pc...just have ot install software first for it.  also, you can use it for ever game that utilizes gamepad, fear etc...althought sometimes it is kinda weird...fear uses weird language in its setup so i had to go online to find hte appropriate information as to setup the control system....it works fine, i prefer gamepad as I wont bang up my mouse and keyboard while using it :)
