Manticore I guess. I kinda consider myself as a manticore, and I have a 360 gaming PC, and Wii . I want a PS3 at some stage, but it costs $1200 in NZ :?Harbadakus
Yeah, I wouldn't mind a PS3, but the price is far too high for me right now. I don't care much for "next gen movies" and I beat Resistance at a friend's house. I'm looking at getting one in 08 probably when some good games hit the market. This gen is going to be sweet :)
I think the 360 and PS3 will be better for me in the long run. The graphics will get better and better on top of the nice online capabilities. Sony still has a ways to go with online, but I'm sure they will get there (don't expect it to be free forever.) I'm already kind of turned off on my Wii just because of the graphics. I'm not really a graphics whore, but nice graphics do help with immersion.
The bottom line is the 360 has had basically a good AA every month since it's release. And several AAA's No matter how toy other fanboys want to SPIN IT. This is AMAZING! And no other system is cranking the high grade score as the 360 has.
THE HARD TRUTH IS. The 360 has the best games and if your a gamer that's what you want the best GAMES. So what does this mean you either already have a 360 and LOVE IT. Or are planning on getting a 360 because of it being the system with the best games.
Or your in that dreaded catigory of being a BLIND FANBOY and refuse to give in to the greatness of the 360.
These are the FACTS and they can not be disputed the numbers speak for themselfs. And i don't remember a console in gaming histy to continue to PUMP OUT the amount of AA-AAA's at the rate and consistency of the 360.

thousand of AAAs HUH? Come again not even close yes the PS2 had the developer support last gen. Those days are LONG GONE.
MS and 360 has it now and that really is the TRUTH.

...need I remind you the fate of the Death Star? Ms engineered their deathstar without vents that go straight to the core and put turrets in the maintance tunnels. So, they are good to go.

You can slow down the read speed of the DVD drive via software, hell mod chips let you do that right now. I've heard of longer loading times and even messed up gameplay if a game streams data from the disk using the mod chips to lower the drive speed. I don't know if they will actually do this, I don't mind the noise. It isnt any louder than my old version PS2.
Why not try out crackdown or dead rising for 360? Dead Rising kept me gaming for weeks and Crackdown is awesome (don't listen to the reviews!) I got Lost Planet in Jan and it was sweet too. I would say get some good game for what you have now instead of spending 600+ dollars on a new system for just one game (he said he wanted it for resistance only.)
The game is awesome. I played 5 hours on release and 6 hours yesterday. There are a ton of things to do in the game. Heck I spent 30 mins just trying to get to the top of the Agency tower to get an agility orb and achievement. I would have rated the game a 9.0. I can't imagine going back and playing GTA now that I have been able to jump from bulding to build, pick up cars, etc. GTA4 needs to do this stuff, otherwise I am going to be bored.
