@ShadowOfKratos he speaks about in the video actually. because of the history of violence towards women has put violence towards women on different footing than men. seeing women getting their face blown off generally has different impact than a man in the same situation. that's why on hindsight he would have toned down the scenes of ellie getting killed...

@blueinheaven i don't agree that because the other aspects of the game wasn't viewed under same critical microscope, that it makes the issues she did critique any less relevant or hypocritical. using those examples she did NOT mention is diverting from what WAS actually mentioned, and whether we agree with it or not, it's worth acknowledging in the review of the game.

i'm not saying the other things you mentioned are not worth acknowledging, but that's a separate topic altogether.
