Its highly unlikely that your 360 is done. Don't believe what the lazy people say. You need to try more cables, especially component or regular A/V cables, and see if you can get the 360 onto the television in any form.
Medal of Honor... hands down my vote. I want so bad for Call of Duty to be defeated but MAG, Bad Company 2, and now MOH are years behind COD. Ugh but MOH really hyped itself like no other.
I admit I love streaming a netflix movie and wish I could stream new releases. Also, I LOVE downloading xbox live games, like the GTA IV addons, instead of having to go out and buy them. Digital distribution rocks.
I can't deny, however, that there is a lack of control by not having a physical copy. Sometimes I never quite feel like I actually own something. And it also stinks because my game collection on the shelf doesn't grow as much because I downloaded something instead.

Yes, yes, some say "Get a PS3 its quieter" but I already have a PS3 and I really only play PS3 exclusives on it. My love is with the 360!
Its popular because the entire Call of Duty series, especially Modern Warfare, is extremely playable but not too easy. Its engaging, addictive and fun. Most importantly, its a little realistic but not too the point that its annoying.
