better quality box art for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/30/1319229-sc2_se_2d_rgb_web_na.jpg

the current gamespot one is a scan so it has inferior color quality

link for comparison: http://image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/3/939643_87960_front.jpg (compare them in separate tabs and you'll notice a large quality difference)

Dracula68

Going to upload now.

Edit: Can you reduce that below 1MB. It will not upload this large so now e have no box shot:(

sorry about that, here's a smaller version: http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k510/stripesonfirex/box%20art/boxshothigh.jpg

I have a high quality box shot of Halo Reach. I realize there is already a box shot uploaded for this game, but it is inaccurate. The one currently on the site does not have the updated Xbox 360 logo at the top of the case, and has an RP rating instead of the M rating.

hey drac, think you could try re-uploading this?

the old image with the outdated logo and RP rating symbol is still showing on the site. i'm pretty sure something must have gone wrong in the upload of the new box shot.

[QUOTE="stripesonfire"]

the old picture is still showing up for me. does it just take a while to switch over?

Dracula68

When there is no box shot it is instant. When there is one already, however, it can take up to 12 hours.

strange, it's still showing the old one even now. i'll keep an eye on it over the next day or two to see if it changes.

I'm pretty sure the difference here is that Final Fantasy XIV was never officially announced for Xbox 360. It was rumoured to be in developement and the developers did say they were exploring it as a platform, but it was ultimately dropped. Without ever having an official announcement of it's development for Xbox 360, having it listed on the site seems irrelevant and not to mention redundant.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII warrants listing as a canceled game because it was actually announced for mobile phones and was in development for it for quite some time before development was shifted to the PSP.

Nintendonly

But on two of the articles I supplied, the producer stated that development has halted on the Xbox 360 version- which means they admitted to developing an Xbox 360 version of the game, but have now stopped and will only continue again if Microsoft finally agrees to having it on their system.

from what i remember most of the articles i have read they merely stated that they had commenced production of an Xbox 360 version which does not necessarily imply development. however, without an official announcement technically an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIV doesn't officially exist.

There are a lot of games that are in development without having been officially announced, such as Mirror's Edge 2, but since they have never been officially announced they haven't been added to the site because they technically do not exist yet. Adding Final Fantasy XIV as a canceled Xbox 360 game would be like adding Mirror's Edge 2 if it was theoretically canceled during development but had never actually been officially announced yet.

at this point an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIV is "officially" still just theory and speculation in the eyes of the gaming media.

another good example is the rumoured GoldenEye 007 HD port for Xbox Live which was apparently canceled during development, but we didn't actually really know about its existence until after it had already been axed on the cutting room floor, so it was never listed on the site. Final Fantasy XIV for Xbox 360 is pretty much in the same boat.

[QUOTE="Dracula68"]FF for 360 was canceled.

Nintendonly

Cancelled games still get a listing on GameFAQs/GameSpot. Both sites are archives to all video games that have existed in some form, be it cancelled, beta, alpha, etcetera.

EDIT: For example, Final Fantasy Agito XIII for Mobile Phones is listed as "canceled"-
