Enter the Matrix. 6.4 on gamespot. No lie, it's def not the greatest game ever lol, but I think I've rented it like 4 times over the past few years. Just randomly get bored I guess.Runningaround fighting is so much fun at first (but gets old pretty quick). I've never even beat the game, just totally enjoy running up on walls and the slow motion feature before I watch an enemies exagerated reaction to myroundhousekicks.

Check out the gameplay, although I don't ever remember having a sword in the game

[QUOTE="ssunisher"]

hey don't get me wrong I enjoy my CODs and my action games, but Indigo Prophecy reminded me ofa Playstation game I played a long time ago called D. I don't mind action, just looking for GOOD games that are more story and decision making oriented rather than shoot em or slash em up action.

krunkfu2

I doubt you'll find much like that this gen. Have you ever played D's sequel?

No actually I never played it, I had a Dreamcast way back in the day I wish I knew there was a sequel to it. Fear Effect was another game that I enjoyed, it was different. I love survival horror games I also remember a game called Fatal Frame that was decent, not the best game ever, but it was playable.

And yeathat Alan Wake game looks interesting, definitely looking forward to it, almost as much as Heavy Rain. Anyway I'm adding all these games you guys mention to my favorites, so if there's more keep naming them!

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already played Fallout 3, it was def more interesting to me than standard shooters but the game seemed to end abruptly, totally wasn't expecting it to end when it did.

I bought the Witcher a long time ago from direct2drive but mylaptop had a hard time with it, I'm going to buy a fan for my laptop and check it out again. Same thing with Dreamfalland the Longest Journey. I've seen Folklore at Blockbuster a bunch of times but never rented it, maybe I'll check that one out.

Neverwinter Nights I heard was great, I'll have to read about it but it seems like a really long game. Not that I usually mind that, but schools coming up I doubt I'll be able to finish it.

I'd appreciate more suggestions I'm adding them all to my favorites list to check out when I have time.

Wow I always thought the 360 gamers were more mature than the PS3 gamers. Guess I was wrong the PS3 forums are way more helpful.

ieatnoobs18

You got that wrong. go to the PC forums. Get out of here if you dont like us. Its not our fault you like stupid games that no one plays.

Relax boss I was being sarcastic. Was just talkin about how I ask for suggestions and people are arguing on my thread about spelling, or going out of their way to suggest games like Halo or COD which everyone's played and are nowhere similiar to the games I asked for.

See now we're getting somewhere haha. I never heard of Beyond Good and Evil but it looks interesting I'll check that out. Reminds me of FEAR EFFECT if you've ever played that. Fear Effect is another great example of the kind of game Im looking for. Even Silent Hill.

And don't get me started on Final Fantasy. I'm waiting to go home to I can borrow my cousins PSP so I can play Crisis Core.

Well if you're really just looking for story, then the MGS series is good.

Scianix-Black

Haha c'mon man everyones played Metal Gear. I was askin for not so mainstream games that I might have missed out on.

God of War was hack em slash em but it had interesting boss battles and a good story, I've never played part 2 though, was also considering that.

oblivion and fallout 3 are the only ones i can think of, but why would you want a game that is based on making decisions and not combat? what would the decisions lead to anyways?

ConkerAndBerri2

I don't mind combat, just don't want the whole game to be centered around me running around and shooting and killing repetitively. Resident Evil was a good example, yea there's combat, but it was heavy on story and even some puzzles.

Knights of the Old Republic wasanothergood example, definitely combat heavy, but it had a storyline and also offered some decision making.

I've been playing WaW for the past few months, trying to get something else in before MW2 comes out.

Knights of the Old Republic should be up your alley, Star Wars fan or not.

Scianix-Black

But he said that he was not able to get into Mass Effect...arent those games similar to eachother?

Oh, didn't read that part... man, this guy's hard to please.

Actually you had some good suggestions.. I've already played Knights of the Old Republic, great game. I don't know why I couldn't get into Mass Effect. The combat system was boring me but maybe I'll try it again. Even a game like the old school Resident Evils might be a good example,I mean there was combat but there was a lot of story and puzzles as well. Dead Space is a game I been wanting to play, was wondering what else is out there.
