The PS3 has a slightly "above average" (I think the industry goal is only 2.5%) failure rate, but it is absolutely eclisped by the 360's failure rates. I myself am on my 2nd PS3, but my launch-day 360 was still going strong before it was killed by a fireearlier thisyear. My latest HDMI Elite 360 also has no issues.

No problems with the Wii, although it gets the least amount of use.

I liked the demo, although I thought it would be better.

The classes seem to play almost exactly the same. I hope there's more to them in the final version. I think I'll wait for reviews before buying/renting this one.

Lady Killer gives you extra damage against female enemies, and "unique dialogue options" when talking to female NPCs. Sorry, Bethesda, that's not satirical, it's just crass and misogynistic.Baranga

lol Amen.

I wonder if the North American/UK version will all hit simultaneously (360, PS3, and now PC).

Either way, it will be out on the PS3 in Japan first....and localization usually takes 7-10 months.

Slightly improved graphics....slightly worse framerate. The PC version will probably end up running like ass, hogging more resources than Crysis, just like the first one. I dunno what version on the Unreal Engine this game is created on (some say Unreal 3, some say Unreal 2.5...some say Unreal -3), but it's complete ass.

Regardless of out-dated graphics or not, Baldur's Gate, Oblivion, Star Wars: KOTOR 1 & 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Fable, Diablo 2, The Witcher, and Mass Effect (coming in May) are all excellent choices. Fallout 2 and NWN 2 are also top-notch, while Guild Wars is good if you would like a light-MMORPG experience, but World of Warcraft and it's community frighten you.

A reiview is only an opinion and a recommendation....not law.

Do I agree with GI's review/score? Yes.
Would I care if it was different? No.
Is a 7.25 an acceptable score?? Absolutely...I don't need all of my games to receive 9.0 or higher.
Do I believe it will affect sales? No way in Hell!
Does it make me want to return the game? Not at all. In fact, I might buy the U.S. version when it comes out.

The only thing that bugs me about reviews is how people whine and ***** about them. Even though a reviewer's opinion might not matter, I can guarantee that YOUR opinion definately does not. I'll listen to them before I listen to you, but before then, I will make up my OWN mind - an ability that a lot of people are apparently losing.

What really makes Silent Hill scary to people is that it's pretty "distrubing"...I remember playing the original RE on my PS1 when it came out when I was 15 I think, with 4 of my friends, and even then it freaked the hell outta us, because none of us had really experienced a game like that....When Silent Hill 2 came out, I had become attoned to gore, violence, and the "shock" surprise moments, but then "atomosphere" became scary as hell with it's music and disturbing storylines and gameplay....and I'll be honest, Silent Hill 3 scared the hell outta me, and I'm a grown ass man.....not only was it gorey (without being over-the-top in that "silly" manner), but the atmosphere was beyond creepy, the sound design was horrifying, and the camera angles and in-game cinemas were beautifully crafted to make you cream your pants, but only from the wrong end.

In all honesty, Silent Hill on the PSP isn't really bad at all; definately not the scariest....and since I'm usually playing it while on the move, or in a crowded environment...not a home, at 12 am, in front of my big screen, with the lights out, and the wife at work.

But in the end, I'm one of those horror fanatics that who gets his thrills from the scary stuff that pushes the envelope. I love horror movies and games like Silent Hill, Condemned, Clock Tower, System Shock, & Fatal Frame...honestly, if it doesn't scare you, then it failed as a horror game/film.

You know, this "secret shaders" crap is all speculation. Not once has anyone from Crytek or EA said anything about an Ultra High setting or new shaders being unlocked when new hardware comes out "that can handle it."
