I, myself, was actually assuming that Nintendo was just having 'supply and demand' issues just like any business producing a unique product. I dont personally care much for the Wii* (remember, my parents and I were searching for the console for my sister), but I really think that the motion controlled system (dont know the EXACT term for it, but you all know what I mean) is really, REALLY cool! That, along with the games (most of them anyway) being easily played by almost ALL ages, would certainly make the console desireable by many. All these things would certainly cause the unit to sell out quickly as soon as they come into stock, thus leading to issues with Nintendo keeping up with demand.
The idea that Nintendo is purposely limiting the Wii so that it is ALWAYS limited sounds a little far-fetched to me, not mention possibly illegal. I have no iknowledge about laws regarding to things like that, so I have no clue if it really is illegal, but it would definitely be immoral. To me, that idea just sounds like a conclusion reached by people unable to find the Wii and are either getting stressed out over searching for one, or simply get fed up with never finding one.
I based the poll's options on claims from other websites and news sites, but everyone is saying something different and nobaody is providing hardcore evidence to back up their claims. I am one of those "show me the proof and statistics or else it is just an opinion" people, LOL.
*Not saying that the Wii sucks (cuz it DOES NOT!!!!), but I am just not interested in the console's games. Personal tastes are just different for me, LOL.

I am happy to say though, that after MUCH searching and calling around, my father and I ACCIDENTALLY came across 1 (JUST) Wii at a local Wal-mart while running errands! There was only 1 unit in stock, but it was in the wrong location AND the store's stock said that they were all out! The guy we went to get to unlock the glass doors that the Wii was behind didn't even know the console was there and had told us that they were sold out until my father and I pointed it out to him... to HIS surprise!
My sister is VERY happy now and loving her Wii ^U^
Took her 2 days to figure out how to play the games using the proper controller movements though, but she has got the hang of it now.

Another thing I want to mention is that I was talking with that guy from Wal-mart and he told me that Nintendo is purposely keeping supplies limited in order tomake the system more desireable. Now, I am not saying that this is TRUE (he doesn't work for Nintendo afterall), or that I agree with it, but it IS the thought of a real person who may/may not post on these forums.
Thank you SO much for the discussions! I read every single post and encourage everyone to continue discussing this topic! I will be popping in and out to readanything new and will be contributing as well :)
