soolkiki Blog

Well, I have something to say.

I'm pretty sure that I won't be coming back here to blog.

:/ I'm just not motivated in anyway to come here, and write out my heart. I just don't see the community giving a crap about what I have to say, and honestly, I don't mind. The ONLY reason I come to gamespot anymore is to check on current games and check on a couple other's blogs.

Jbul and Mprezzy are really the only guys that I come here excited to read about. I just like you guy's way of writing.

So, in a way, I'm saying goodbye, even if I'm not leaving for good. It's just that this will be the last time that I write text here in this box. I appreciate everyone else who commented on my blogs, I got a real good kick out of the comments that you guys would leave. But, if you are wanting to follow me on a blog that I constantly update, you'll have to go to tumblr, and follow me there.

It's a real difficult website to master, but I like it. The community there is...strange, but I like the artsiness of it all. It gives me inspiration for when I write.

So, thank you guys for reading my blogs, even though I rarely updated them. It was just hard to use this place as a sort of social website. I know it's not the point of the website, and that's why I found it hard.It just didn't fit the purpose of the websire. It was a good start to get me into the whole blogging scene, but I don't know, it just felt weird.

I'll give you guys one, final update, but after that, It's all Tumblr! I'll still be coming around to check on other people's blogs, cause I do enjoy reading what other people have written, but again, I just won't be updating mine.

Gaming front.

Well, I got a PS3, and have been playing Demon's Souls here and there. It's fun, I'm jst having a hard time finding time for it. Been playing a lot of minecraft when I get a break, it's fun. Games have been kinda fading for me.

I've been taking college classes at IvyTech to finish out my senior year in highschool. I'm going to be an english major with a concentration on writing. I feel that it hits closer to what I want to be and it is slightly broader in scope than if I had just gotten a creative writing major.

Which brings me to my next subject. I want to be an author for a full-time job. How I'll get there? I'm not sure, but I've been working on a lot of things to get me there. AKA, writing.

Right now, I'm doing a thing called NanoWriMo, which is, National Writing Month. It is where you are challenged to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. So far, it's day six and I'm 10,000 words in. Not bad for a newbie. :P So, I'm uber excited for my story. I haven't read anything like it, ever, and though that may not say much, me being young, I think that I have something fairly original. It is difficult, but I enjoy it so much. Sitting at my desk for hours, creating a story, that I and hopefully many other people will enjoy. It's just so, incredibly fulfilling.

So, that is what has been happening with me. I've been so busy with life, I haven't had much time for anything else.

As I said, this is going to be the last blog on the website, though I will be checking everyone elses and commenting on them, because honestly, I really do enjoy reading what everyone else is up to! Hopefully, I'll see some of you on Tumblr. If not, then I'll just see you in the comments here on your blogs.

And thank you everyone for the time that I have been here. I just didn't want to leave without saying goodbye. Some of you I would consider friends. Distant, but friends non-the-less. :) Thank you everyone.

Something that I Noticed

so, I wrote something on Tumblr, and I want to see what you people here have to say about it. It's about the younger generation and something that I seemed to notice.

So, maybe some of you have already realized this, and some people will shake their heads at me and go, "youjustthought about this?". And yes, I did just think about it, but I'm going to tell you anyway.

It has suddenly occurred to me why young people are so impatient.

I'm sure that some of you are going to think, well here goes another rant from someone who doesn't know what they are talking about, but listen to me. I came to thinking this because of how I was sitting rather impatiently with some people in traffic today when something clicked.

I'll explain.

Here I was, sitting in my car on my way to the plaza of Jefferson Pointe, playing my music, Bleu Stali, quite loudly. I was sitting at a stop light and was getting slightly irritated at how slowly the traffic around me was moving and how long the light was sitting on red. It turned green, we moved on.

When I pulled into the JP Parking lot, I was greeted by a plethora of elderly people walking out of their respective old person cloth stores. Vaguely irritated, I drove around them, scowling. And then the question hit me: Why am I so impatient?

I parked my car and as I walked into Barnes and Noble, I kept asking myself this question. What was there to hurry about? Everyone else around me wasn't in a big rush, they were just enjoying their day, enjoying each other's presence. Why couldn't I?

I began to think of other things that I was and still am in a big rush to hurry through, things that could clearly wait for the future. I was looking though books on the shelf, not really paying attention to the titles, just merely lifting up books and setting them back in their place, subconsciously.

I was thinking about it more and more until I realized something. It's just how young people are wired. Our elders are constantly criticizing how recklessly and how ruthlessly we go about our daily lives, always in the moment, looking for that one moment that gives us excitement. And in a way, they are right to criticize.

They are also wrong.

There are limits, however. But that doesn't mean that we should all slow down. I'm not saying to be dangerous, but I think I know why young people are always, go, go, go!

It is because in a world of adults, people who are superior to us, we, the younger generation, are wired to be "hyper-active",so that we may find our way into the adult world so that we are notleft behind.

That is the simple truth.

We as a younger generation may not realize this right away, we act upon it instinctively, following our feelings and jumping upon our rush to try and succeed. It is through our head-strong actions that we test and find out the limits of the world, so that our spirits will not break when responsibility hits.

I am not saying that our elders should not criticize some of our more questionable actions, as then we would never find out our boundaries, but to you adults that treat the younger with hate, contempt and disgust, I say this to you: I'm sure that you were just as bad, so screw you.

But anyhow, I want to see what you guys think. I'm very sure that from my ignorant standpoint, this thought process is only partially complete as I am part of this younger generation, but I just thought that it was interesting. So, I'll bid you all goodbye for now and continue my reckless charge into the very center of the world!

And maybe next time, I'll learn to slow down to enjoy what demands to be enjoyed.

:) So, I'm walking out into the "Real" World.

Well, I suppose I better write a blog then! haha

I've been so busy just preparing for college that I haven't been able to write here. I got accepted into a college and even though I'm still a senior in highschool, I get to take dual-credits in some classes because I scored so highly in the placement test!

So, I'm gettign ready for that, and then next year, I will be a freshman in College!!!

Oh my goodness I'm so excited! I never thought that I would reach this point. I still can't believe that I have! I remember as a little boy, I would wonder what it would be like to be this old.

And I have to say, It's very scary. And oh so exciting!

I have a job, a car, a home (parents), a good education, and I realize this, so you know what? I'm not going to blow this. Many people do, and I will not be that one person that does. Way too much of my furture relies on me getting an education like this.

So my major is going to be in journalism. I tested incredibly high in my writing classes and while my writing here may be sub-par, that's because I let it. The cool thing about journalism is that it opens a multitude of job opportunities because of how I am taught to write and communicate. I will be invaluable to companies and businesses alike. Now, I don't want to be a tool, but as it stands, the world could use some real writers. And (Looking at you Jbul) I think that many companies are looking for people who can write!

So when I go to college, I will learn to write professionally and get a dream job. :)

I can't wait. I just need to finish at least another 4-5 years of school, and then I can do something amazing!

As for my gaming life, I have NOT been doing much.

I have had no time for games as I have been working full time this summer, and will be going back to full-time student and part-time worker.

I have though, when I get a minutes or hour, been playing minecraft.

Ehmm.. It's good, but I can only take so much of it. Mostly because my computer starts to lagg when I change a lot in the world for some reason. Something that I haven't been able to figure out why.

And that's about it for now. I'm so scatter-brained and tired, I'm not sure what else to write.

If you guys want to follow me on Tumblr, you can. I'm on there a little more for blogs. :) One hard thing about this website is thinking of it as a part blog, part game, site.

Here's the link! :D

I hipe that maybe you guys will make a blog there. I find the site quite fun, and a little inspiring at times! There are some amazing artists here.

I hope everyone is doing well!

So, I've been without internet for about 2 weeks now. Sooo, you probably won't be seeing me for a while yet just cause I still don't have internet at home. I'm typing this up at the public library and I rarely go here. I have no idea what's wrong with the router, assuming that's what it is. We got a new modem, and that didn't do anything, and both of our routers refuse to send out the internet connection, event though they say that they are sending them out. My dad can get internet if he plugs directly to the modem, but otherwise, everyone else in the house does not have the web! So I'll try and catch up on you guy's blogswhen I get internet back!

Ooo!!! I'm level 27!! :D and in about a month, it will be my 3rd year anniversary on GS! :)

I lack a title.

So what has been new with everyone?

Nothing new here, just going full time with my job this summer. (So excited!)

Annnd, even though I'm only going to be a senior in highschool next year, I'll be taking my classes at the local college, thus giving me the ability to knock out my highschool AND some of my college credits at the same time!! :)

This is great news, and I think that I'll be able to keep good grades and adjust easily to the lifestyle.( I'll be staying home since I'm local, so this is good news.)

On the gaming front:

My new obsession is Minecraft. I. love. this. game.

If you guys have a good worldseed to recommend, please give it to me. :)

So, I guess I couldn't stay from here for long!

Not that I was trying, but hey. I get busy.

I've been trying to keep up with everyone's blogs, and I think that I've been doing a pretty decent job. Sometimes, a couple of blogs will slip by me, but don't worry, I may not comment on every single one, but I do read every single one. I'm actually here everyday, just not writing blogs.

I've been doing more blogging on Tumblr, than anything.

Sooo, I miss my games. :(

A lot.

So, this summer, because I'm going full time, and will be making more money, I am getting a ps3.

And my first game will be Red Dead Redemption!

I'm sooo excited!! It'll probably be about a month or so, but I WILL get it! I will post a blog once I get it, and I EXPECT you guy's PSN names, so that I can add you online!

Don't worry, I won't be a pest. :P

Then next, I want Demon's Souls. Look amazing.

But yeah, I've been going through serious gaming withdrawl and I can't take it anymore!!

My computer struggles to fun any really decent games, so a ps3 will be a wonderful upgrade!

But school has been sooo busy! I should be stufying for my Latin final, but I'm doing this. I have another week to study, so it doesn't matter.

Oh! I took this big AP English Literature test! IT was 3 freaking hours long, but I think that I did really well! I'll be finding out in July! I hate waiting so long for the results, but I'm sure that the time will pass in no time!

And I had prom a couple weeks ago! It was fun!

Here is a pic of me and my date!

(Your wish is granted Oleg_Huzwog :P )

Yeah, we had a BLAST!

And then for my 18th birthday, she bakes me this huge layered cake from scratch! It took me four days to eat the whole thing!

Sooo, yeah! Hope everyone has a good one! :D

So, it has yet been another month since my last blog. So sorry about that guys! I seriously have so much to do, I don't even realize that it has been that long. I try to comment on your blogs and stuff, but I've really been slacking on mine.

Recently, I have been putting more effort into my future, and less into gaming. I have been feeling for a long time that gaming has been holding me back and has been serving as more of a distraction then something that is just a hobby. I have a nasty habit of procrastinating on things I should be working on and instead, play games. So, I have decided to get rid of the majority of my games and focus on more of my schooling and writing.

So I already took the iniciative to get rid of it. Though the system (ps2) is still in the house, it is no longer mine, as I sold it to my younger brother for about $150 (7 games, memory card, controller, you know, the works) which is much cheaper than what he would have gotten it anywhere else. So I got some money, and destroyed a distraction.

Another thing, is that I have been saving for a car. I have been needing one for a while as I have been having classes outside of home and around town, and have been needing to travel places. Our family has one minivan, and that is hard to balance in a family of ten who also have things to do around town. So I have been looking around for cars and saving cash!

I still have my computer games, but I don't play those too often, and they aren't too much of a distraction, so they stay.

I know it may seem stupid, but I have really been needing to do this kind of thing. I know I only JUST got the playstation, but it has been too good of a thing to have around.

I will still be drooling over games, and watching videos of games, and going over to my buddy's house to play ps3 (which he got about a week ago). But I can't have one of my own.

The job I have is pretty decent. Great for a part time job for a highschooled kid, like me! I love the money and the work is not hard! Kinda stressing, but not hard. I would have to say that dealing with the occasional high person can be annoying, but they at least give me some stories to tell my friends! :D

On the girl front, the same girl is still sticking around, so I don't think she hates me yet! She and I are both Christian/Catholic, love the same music, and hobbies, have very similar backgrounds and we both just have a wonderful time around each other! She wants to see the movie "Tangled" so we're seeing that this friday at the theatre! haha yeah, she's one of the huge reasons that I don't have that much time, but she's so worth it! I would love to post a picture of her on here so that you guys could know what she looks like, but I don't know if she would like that.

Anyway, I hope you guys have a wonderful day! and here is an awesome song that just made me bust a gut laughing!! :D

A brief blog.

So it's a new year and everyone decides to turn a new leaf like every year that they have ever been alive. Yeah, I've made my own resolutions, but I don't feel like posting them here because you guys would probably only get bored reading them. I would probably also make some new ones up just to make myself look better than I really am. ;)

Anywhoo, I haven't been up to much, just had a blast with my family coming over for Christmas and going over to my friend's house for New year's! To say the least, I had a lot of fun. :) I always do, I love my friends to death! I honestly don't know what I would do without them.

Nothing really new on the gaming front, I just got The Witcher Enhanced Edition on steam for $5. But I think it's bugged cause I can't continue this one quest. Eh, it's a game, but I just wasted 8 hors of my life if this doesn't end up working. Though so far, it's a VERY fun game! I like the unique combat system, it's definitely different, if not for sure not perfect.

And on the girl front, good news :) She is an amazing girl! She isn't a player or anything and we will be going on our second date on Wednesday, we are both really pumped! Not my girlfriend yet, but we're definitly talking!
