My biggest issue with them was when they stopped carrying the CW network's shows, that's when I dropped THEM. I only recently started back up with them so that my grandmother can watch her shows like Golden Girls, but I feel that instead of trying to "keep up with Netflix" Hulu should instead put their resources into giving their subscribers what they actually want.

@alexatkin: do you? I mean I haven't gotten the PC version since 2.0, and I know that you're currently unable to buy new digital characters (or, I assume, redeem the codes included in the physical ones) but I would assume that you could still use the characters you've already gotten. If not, then that's just one more sin on Disney's soul, weighing it down and destined to drag it down to Hell.

I agree. Adding to that is their decision to start cutting off online support so soon. They could leave a skeleton crew behind to run the servers, let us enjoy sharing our creations until after Christmas, but no: they're cutting that off in September. I'll bet Walt is rolling over in his grave right about now.

@Razer361 says who? The 2DS can play all the games that's in the 3DS library as well as many from the DS selection. The only things are a) I don't believe that this system is compatible with the Circle Pad Pro, so that added level of control is out; and b) would YOU want to play Monster Hunter on this thing?

@geitenvla Exactly, and there's parental locks that prevent the 3D feature from turning on too.

@CrazyOldCracker @Ranols I can't say I "loved" it, but I did really like it. While it wasn't too portable, and you had to set it on a tabletop to use it, and not too many games came out for it before it was discontinued, and I seem to recall that it was AC powered only. Despite all that, I did love the few games I got on it. I keep hoping that they'll release those on the Virtual Console for the 3DS.

@FireVixen This isn't complaining, per se, but rather constructive criticism. While I do think that you do have some valid points, they aren't without some minor flaws.

1-Your point about the 3D function hurting the eyes of kids 7 and under makes for a strong argument. While I can't say whether that's true or not, the fact is that the 3DS has parental controls that allow them to prevent the 3D function from activating. Of course, that's assuming that the parent even bothers activating said parental lock, Sadly, I don't personally feel that a mere $30 price drop is worth that small consignment, but that's debatable.

2- I whole heartedly agree with this statement. Unfortunately, the way kids break things most often is by dropping them, often while they're playing with them. And while the first thing to go may be the hinge, the next thing in that situation would be the screen. And because this thing can't close, those screens are now completely unprotected. So unless the 2DS screens are now made with Gorilla Glass (and I'm not sure how the touch screen tech would work with that), I'd still be leery of placing this in a little kid's hands.

So, that's my opinion, feel free of agree or disagree. While I do think it is ugly, that is not the reason I would not buy it for a kid of any age.

@ZombicidalMan , That's debatable, but I think that Feedbackula just covered the reason that parents would: the next Pokémon is only for the 3DS, and if their kid doesn't have a 3DS already then they can get the 2DS and the game for about the same price as the 3DS by itself. It's simple economics.
