Yeah, I saw this earlier. Might be kind of nice to have to play when the tv is currently in use for something else but other then that it doesn’t really sound like something that would interest me that much.

Just use PS5 remote play on your phone with a $10 phone clip from Amazon. Works just fine if you're near the modem/router.

Here's my prediction:

This just emboldened Trump. He's going to wipe the floor with the GOP (not that anyone but DeSantis even had a chance, and DeSantis is a charisma vacuum).

Biden will not run again, leaving the door open for who for the dems? Trump could run through any of them. The only one Trump can't beat is Biden.

This is nothing. This is a nothing charge, with nothing consequences, going nowhere. This will go down as one of the worst political decisions made by the democrats.

I never said it did. I am however against supporting young children in transitioning because I think it's being glorified as children are not capable of making that decision at a young age.

I also feel that if someone does transition the distinction needs to be made that the person is trans and rules need to be set in place that separate them from people that were born that way biologically.

Where is this happening?

Your President support gender affirming care which allows adolescents to take puberty blockers. That's ok to you?

Biological males are destroying woman in sports because we pander to their delusions. That's ok to you?

So it's not happening. Got it.

@LJS9502_basic The courts are now allowing hormonal treatment for the purposes of transitioning in 12 year old and up. The law on this is already being changed, if it already has not. For example, in Canada, this is the current provincial law across all of the provinces except for Quebec since it's own animal.

You're right, there needs to be parameters, distinctions, etc. Right now, the political stance seems to be an opened floodgate. I think that's how rational people would see it.

I have no horse in this race.

But I will say that if Trump gets indicted on this, you bet your bottom dollar that will rile up the right behind him. Trump has nowhere near the buzz or momentum of 2015 (a year out from the election). This will be a catalyst.

This charge will go nowhere. And even if it did, the optics - in any event - will be a political hit job against a guy who remains untouchable legally.

With all of the things that Trump could be potentially charged with, the characterization of a payment to a porn "star" is irrelevant. Not only that, but the first potential charge out of the gate is this one? Instead of any of the potential others? Just screams "we have nothing so we tried something."

If Trump was looking for something to bolster his run, this is it. Counterintuitive, sure. Welcome to divisive politics 2023.

@sonic_spark: Nothing of substance to respond with? Yeah keep your fanboy wishful thinking and keep gushing over every slight enemy recolor or relocated treehouse “fortress”.

Firstly, Nintendo never said the map was "slightly" alterered.

Also, it's a nearly 6 year development cycle, and the longest development Zelda cycle for Nintendo ever. Of course, the pandemic likely added time to it. Nonetheless, even if it's a 5 year development cycle, that is hardly just a "recolor enemies" or "relocate fortress" scenario.

I would agree that the footage has been sparse and underwhelming. However, so was BOTW until it released it's final trailer.

I am operating on the Mario Galaxy 2 test. Mario Galaxy 2 looked like nothing but an expansion pack. Ended up being a AAA masterpiece.

I really don’t get all the hype for this, beyond just a free pass for being a Zelda game. I enjoyed my time with BotW, but it got really samey halfway through, and the TOTK trailers looked exactly like just more of the same. By their own admission they’re even reusing the same map with minor differences, not to mention no graphical upgrade. Majora’s Mask may have been only a slight graphical upgrade and reused character models, but at least they bothered to make all new maps and areas.

This should have been an expansion pack.

@mesome713: Base is $400 USD.

In other news, this is interesting. I'm more interested for the implications to the next gen Nintendo console. These specs are pretty impressive.

Miyamoto has never been against good storytelling or cinematic games. This thread was derailed from the start.

His personal philosophy has always been gameplay first. He thinks of the gameplay, mechanics, etc., and the puts a story to that game.

Taking what Miyamoto says out of context makes for a good SW thread though, I guess.

I also don't get the hate for "movie" games. I found God of War (one of my favourite franchises) to be amazing, and though I was weary of the move to an Uncharted level of dialog etc., it's wonderfully done. Do I want that in a Zelda game? Probably not.

It sounds like you do get the hate for "movie" games. The bolded shows that you prefer gameplay over long cinematics and dialogues. Should in other words be easy for you to see how that stuff annoys people.

I could see why someone would dislike having a lot of dialogue/set sequences. After playing BOTW and being as die-hard a fan of the series as they come, I wouldn't outright be against more elements that the movie games have. But I just don't think it will fit the series in the same way that God of War did. Of course the original trilogy has a detailed narrative, but I was less concerned about more story/dialogue versus the actual change to the gameplay which went over the shoulder instead of a free roam third person. I should have been more clear in my post.

That said, I would love for Zelda to get more out of the technical graphics (TP and OoT being examples), and I do welcome the voice acting a cutscenes.
