Thirtyeighth Monthly Recap: February 2011

I'm finally getting around to listing my February game acquisitions. This month was another good month for Xbox 360 and XBLA pickups. On the 360, I finally got my copy of Tony Hawk Ride ($20) new and complete. I also got the Gears triple pack for $5 with purchase of Bulletstorm, which is a great game btw. YDKJ is a lot of fun too. On XBLA I picked up 4/5 of the "House Party" XBLA games. (the only one I didn't get was Torchlight. This game is too similar to Arkadian Warriors so I want to wait for a price drop).

ThirtyThird Monthly Recap: September 2010

by on

36 game pickups this month is not bad considering I spent half the month on the other side of the world in Mumbai, India. I am excited about picking up that batch of original Xbox games from my brother. I am also excited about all the good XBLA deals I got. Halo Reach is finally here!! Unfortunately I was in India during the launch, so I am a little behind, but so far am loving the game. Standout pickups this month are Halo: Reach, Arx Fatalis, Contact, Red Dead Revolver, Resonance of Fate, and Plants vs. Zombies. Though I found out that there is a retail copy of PvZ available on disc.. Doh, if I had known, I would have gotten that version instead.. oh well.

Forgot to mention: this month I hit 50,000 gamerscore on the dot! :D

It was a great month for game acquisitions, bringing in a total of 45 games, 9 of which were downloadable games on XBLA and PSN. I also added 10 original Xbox games as well as 17 Xbox 360 games. Highlight purchases of the month include DJ Hero bundle, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, Nervous Brickdown (which I have wanted for a long time), Dead Space Extraction, and Waverace: Blue Storm (which I have also wanted for a long time. My favorite game of the month was DeathSpank, which I thoroughly enjoyed and beat for 200/200 achievement points.

Thirtyfirst Monthly Recap: July 2010

This was the month of Xbox 360 collecting. I added 21 new retail Xbox 360 titles to my collection this month. In the process I have moved up one spot on the X360 collection leaderboard on Backloggery to 5th place with 380+ games now. I also downloaded the first two XBLA titles from the Summer of Arcade. I am planning on purchasing all of the SoA games this year so I have boosted the number of Microsoft points so that I have all the points I need for all five titles. I now have 85 XBLA titles and will probably hit 90 in the coming weeks.
