So basically you're complaining about side quests? These are optional and no required to beat the game. Gamers have gotten lazy, including Danny. Last time I checked GTA never got lowers scored for having hidden packages and unique jumps. And what's wrong with the Animus? Is your brain unable to process multiple plot lines?

At first I was disappointed to see Company of Heroes pushed back to June, but seeing how much SimCity has failed, just makes me more reassured and confident that Relic are doing everything they can to make a excellent and reliable product. :)

Icarusmk3, you're absolutely correct. There should be a proportionally larger amount of 360 returns than PS3 since the the ratio of 360 to ps3 is 5:1. However, lets not forget my point about how the 360 had problems from the beginning and the PS3 didn't and also that I still haven't seen one returned PS3. In 4 months, I've seen at least a dozen of two 360s returned and not one ps3. That statistic should alarm any clear thinking consumer. The games are certainly the most common factor in buying a console is it's games, but the common denominator is the system itself and you certainly cant enjoy games on a system that isn't reliable. I can't imagine how angry I'd be if I was playing MGS4 on a defective PS3. That would be the biggest disappointment of all. Consumer confidence is a huuuuuuge importance in the electronics industry.

Fox, the real issue is which format you choose. I understand your point about there not being a huge, noticeable difference between the two. Its very important that customers understand which format to invest in. It is an investment more than anything else considering that people who step into bd or hd-dvd are in the process of starting a whole new movie collection. I've spent thousands of dollars into my dvd movie collection and I will spend thousands of dollars on my bd collection. I have a lot of inside information since I work at Best Buy. Most information is available to the public as well. I can tell you that Blue Ray is simply dominating HD-DVD. Best Buy's future plans focuses primarily on Blue Ray, but still supports hd-dvd. Just compare the bd and hd-dvd catalogue on Best Buy's website and tell me which is larger.

I was thinking about this the other day at work at Best Buy. My store has never had a returned PS3 because of defects or hardware issues. The Xbox 360 on the other hand is returned at least once or twice a week. I asked a customer service representative about this and she said she's seen about ten 360s returned and zero PS3s during the two weeks that she's worked at my store. I went back to the warehouse and had a look at all the products we were shipping back to the manufacturers because they were defective and I found 5 360s sitting in the cage. Keep in mind, we send the products in one big shipment each week. That means there were five 360s being sent back to Microsoft for just that week. The reason I bring this up is because it seems like the PS3 only gets negative press. I figured I'd point this out because the reliability of the PS3 should be mentioned here. I think it's a huge achievement for Sony considering they're previous launch units didn't do so well. Of course, we're only in the early stages of the PS3 and 10 months from now we will really know the reliability of the PS3. I think its fair to point this out now because the 360 had hardware problems from the beginning up until now.

Another point: the PS1 used a cd player, the PS2 uses a dvd player, and the PS3 uses a blue ray player. As you can see, there's a progression in technology. Which in my eyes, makes complete sense. Sony is going forward with the PS3.

darkdragonmage9, you're living in the present. 70 percent of all television sales this year will be hdtvs. I'd say by the end of this year tube television will be obsolete. Well, except at Wal-mart where they sell nothing but crap. I can understand why you don't see the value in the Ps3 because you don't care about blueray or hdtv. However, I don't see how any gamer reguardless of their income and budget would not care about hd-tv or blueray. I don't have an hd-tv either, but when I play games on one it makes the experience amazing. Blue-ray is even more amazing. Just take a trip to best buy and look at those displays. Play a Ps3 on an hdtv there and tell me you don't care about it. I'm sure your opinion will change. You're point about comparing games is entirely mute considering the PS3 hasn't even launched it's big titles yet and if you can't understand what makes blueray better then that's something you're going to have to get on your own.
