@csward: I never implied I was talking for everyone. I clearly said that 'I' feel 'I' have had my money's worth.
However, take a look at the long series of youtube videos by people such as Nerdcubed, Silvarret, Flabaliki... there was a healthy community in place before the game even got out of Beta. Given the longevity of RCT3, there's certainly a large amount of people out there who would find this game a great deal of fun.
@Orontes13: that's true but, like I stated, I've put in over 200 hours into it. If I stopped playing right now, I would say that I've got my money's worth.
@Orontes13: With over 200 hours play time logged, I don't think it's overpriced. This is one of those games that will continue to impress years from now and one which I think people will keep coming back to. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is a decade old and still has a fairly active community.
@pongley: Just take a look at the YouTube channels, you'll find loads of videos showing wonderfully designed cities such as the one on Fluxtrance's channel. There's so many custom assets made by modders that you can pretty much always find exactly what you need to make your ideal world.
@Slannmage: I think with any game like this, you kinda set your own goals. Play to make the most effective, cost efficient city or whack on the Unlimited Money option and make your dream resort or an industrial nightmare. With so much custom content on the Steam Workshop, you have all the tools to go wild in this game and the only real limits are your skill and imagination.
Personally, I found this to be vastly superior to any of the Sim City games from the last decade.
@ajac09: On the whole, I agree with that statement but with Cities Skylines, you get so much content initially in the game, a huge modding community adding extra content on a daily basis and many incremental updates for absolutely nothing. I'm more than happy to support this company when they release a major update like this one.
