Replace the laser. Call Nintendo or find someone in your area that can do it cheaper if its out of warranty. Cleaning the laser will only temperarly fix the problem. Had the same thing with mine. Ordered a laser on ebay, cost me $12 to fix my Wii.

It's not a dual layer disc. The file is exactly 4.7gb. The game is very demanding on the laser, if your having disc read errors get the laser replaced. The laser would already have issues before playing COD.

I have the wii speak, but haven't been online with anyone else that does. Typing with the controller sucks, it doesn't even have the letters set up like a keyboard. They're in aphabetical order, major pain. The only people I see online are people that haven't played offline yet and all want to go pick mushrooms. lol. Trying to find some people that have got a bit of time into the offline so we can get out on some real hunting quests. I will put up my Capcom code later today if anyone wants to add me. Or if I'm online, skeerup is my handle.

I've played about 7hrs on the single playerand finished the first section of quests. Went online last night to check it out, it feels like your still playing the single player. Very minor changes for the online. Got into a group of 3 others easily and went on a difficult mission for the armour and weapon set I have. Absolutely flawless online mode as far as I can see. No hiccups at all. My online name is skeerup and I have wiispeak.

It's not the worst game I have ever played. Interesting for about 3hrs, but worth it for the Wii speak.

It sounds to me like the pins on the drive have been bent inwards. Usually only happens when a disc is in and another one is being forced in. Send it out for repair, or if you feel comfortable, open it up and bend the pins back. Or the eject motor is sticking.

Did someone try to jam a disc in it while there was already one in the Wii?
